Day 4 of 30:

The birthday party went off without a hitch. Even got to have our past foster son come to the party. There were lots of presents opened, and the Mini helped open quite a few boxes, cut a lot of zipties, and opened battery compartments. Didn't get any action photos, but my little boy and I made quick work of burning all of the boxes this evening, so I snapped one then.

Great pictures and uses everyone!

MCNTR DAY 04

looking good so far yawl!!  :tu: :tu:

used the orange peeler to cut the plastic off some supplements and then to pop the sealing disc off. The peeler has been getting lots of use so far. it's definitely one of my favorite tools on the MC.

Has anyone ever swallowed a Mini Champ, and then recorded the time it takes to transit the alimentary canal?  Asking for a friend.

It's an interesting expertiment. I guess it would have reappeared by now. Has your friend recorded the "end to end" time?

Nice use Simon! :like: :tu: :tu:

I use the philips to reset my Sudoku game. :)

Thanks, Vicman. Turns out the combo tool is what I use most in my 58 mm SAKs, together with the scissors. Small wonder my habitual keyring SAK is a Jetsetter.

     Day 5
Remember when Charlie Brown was chosen to go buy the neighborhood Christmas tree?   When the first ornament was placed near the top the frail little tree bent over to the ground.  I found my version.  The ornament is MiniChamp.  The little red cedar was more husky than Charlie's tree.  Probably had its vitamins.  Ho. Ho. Ho.  Best wishes.  Gary

A Charlie Brown Christmas reference, love it!  Waited every year as a kid for that cartoon to play.  :tu:
Nice entries everyone.
Every time I do a challenge with a 74mm or below sized SAK, I'm always surprised to realize I can do most tasks needed in my urban environment.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

I didn’t have any experience with the 74mm line before I did the Chuck Yeager challenge with the Executive last year.  I really liked that knife and thought it was a great size!

I understand why people like the 58mm models but I wish we could still have the 74s too.

Probably the best thing about these challenges is seeing all the awesome pics that everyone shares.
The worst thing has to be having no uses today and just trying an art shot.

Oh well.

First day back on standard time and I've got my little minions outside to enjoy the Indian summer temps while they last.

Day 5

I found this Knott's Berry Farm patch a couple of years ago as I was going through some items from my brother's estate (may he rest in peace).

Being a Peanut's fan from early childhood, I was delighted to find it and it now resides on my desk.

I glance at it during the day and I worry that the staple will rust and stain the patch.  Enter the MiniChamp, it was used today to pry up the staple, success.

I've wondered if this patch is from 1967 as there is a 67 on the price tag?  :dunno:  Seems possible.  No matter what era it is from it makes me smile.

Edit update:  Found out Camp Snoopy opened in 1983.

having no uses today and just trying an art shot.

You are demonstrating the most important use of all - being prepared to save the day, or maybe save lives.  Though your humility is admirable.    :salute:

Yep, “no use” days during a challenge can be a little frustrating. I don’t have any uses so far today either. But it’s only 1 pm here in the Pacific Northwest so there’s still time!
