Still playing catch-up.

Day 08: I used Felix Immler’s method of making an angle guide to help me get the scissors on my bought-used Explorer back to perfect 65-degree angles. It really works well.

Day 09:

I used the small blade to cut tape seams when I was breaking down a cardboard box today. And then I cleaned the adhesive gunk off of the blade.

Day 10:

The scissors got a workout today trimming dead leaves and flowers in the garden.

I prefer 91 mm SAK scissors for this work because they have more leverage (for cutting thicker, harder plant stems) and longer reach (for reaching through the foliage to get to the stems). But, I used the Executive because that’s what was in my pocket at the time.

Perfectly peeled orange!

A great dad.

I miss the fishing sagas, suspect icey cold streams  and kids do not mix well.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

We do a little fishing in the winter, but not much. It is just too cold and too little action to keep the kids entertained. We did go hunting a month or so ago.

it's a Stratocaster HSS with a hardtail bridge. Pretty darn good for a cheap guitar. Sounds amazing and has great tone. ordered directly from fender.

Thanks buddy but it's been over 40, for her.
I met her when she started working for the insurance agent next to the store that I was working at, probably in 1978.  She's worked for 5 different agents in all that time.  We're excited about the next phase of our lives.

That was a Temu purchase, Explorer.  Had to look through several to find one that's stainless rather than alloy.  I just searched for mini adjustable wrench.

I like shopping Temu.  Everything ships together in one package and it ships free.
Only drawback is that there's a $15.00 minimum for each order.  Somehow I can always find more stuff to add to an order.

Thanksgiving always starts me off with punkin pie and pecan pie.  Now that it's nearing Christmas it's time for some fruitcake.  The Boss Lady usually picks up several, for me, to freeze and have throughout the year.
I love Claxton.  She, not so much.
She picked up a nice looking one from Walmart that I'll probably get in to next week but for now it's Claxton.

My grandfather was a generous man with everything but homemade fruitcake,  Not that I cared for any, but if he cut someone a slice they could see daylight through it.

Day 11:

No Executive use until the very end of the day. I bought a sweater for my office’s upcoming “Ugly Christmas Sweater” contest. I had to trim a loose white thread that was very conspicuous on the front of the sweater.

I think I’m getting better at capturing photos that show the Executive’s true colors.

I  always liked the multi-ink pen pictured. A test of time, that was around when I was in school 50+ years ago.

The simplicity of Cassio is very smart choice for wrist wear😉.

I had no idea those 4-color pens have been around for so long!  I used them for drawing in grade school.

They were in high demand when I was in school though I preferred the old Bic pen.

We've had my little sidekick with us since last week.  Today, she decided on Ravioli, for lunch.  So, what do you do when your SAK lacks a can opener?

I learned a trick the other day, to expand functionality of an implement of the hybrid, also a tool on my Vagabond  and other classic size Victorinox kits.

Add a Leatherman  bit extender and bits (Rebar style)

Day 12:
Had our former foster son and his little sister over to babysit this evening. They are both under 2 years old, and along with our 3 under 7, we were busy. Snapped a quick pic, and I'm off to bed
