@fx no can’t play it, I’m usually ok at percussion instruments but it requires more dexterity than I’m capable of unfortunately

Day 16
High 30’s again today, didn’t go below 27 last night and I haven’t got aircon, thankfully I do have a cooling fan with built in chiller. As much as I love the sun I’m looking forward to it cooling off a bit

Congrats!

Day 16

Wife's laptop wasn't charging. Easy fix, just had to open it up and wriggle a connector. The Hiker removed the screw cover feet.

Day 16

Another kitchen cabinet repair today, but this one was a bit more involved.

We have a cabinet door that would not stay closed. It finally annoyed me enough to really sit down and take a look at it. Turns out, the lower hinge was so loose it was about to come off the frame. It’s a Phillips screw, so…

I used the tip of the can opener to do most of the work - quite a few full rotations were needed.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Then I used the back Phillips to finish it off and tighten it as much as I could.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The door sure closes now!

Day 17

People use the corkscrew as a marlin spike sometimes, but the Phillip's isn't awful for it either.

@marlowe221: I have a couple of cabinets with that sort of hinge on their doors. They drive me up the wall.

@Echotech: :drink:

@Barry Rowland: there's never a bad time for coffee!

@Fireman: is that a Craftsman mini-ratchet? It looks an awful lot like the one I used to have.

@BPRoberts: I never would have thought to use the Phillips as a marlinspike.

Another great day, y'awl!

The little Lego monster is of my own design. He's in the photo because he was just the right size to cover up the amount of the check and I thought it was appropriate to show something green today.

It is indeed Bill but luckily i can get it here so buy a case regularly  :drink:

I'd really like some St Austell beers, Tribute and Proper Job ideally but I've only found Proper Job for sale and the prices is more than double the Ghost Ship
I was in Cornwall in August and developed a taste for them

I'm a long time fan of ales and even arranged a real ale festival in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire back in the 80's when i was in college :)

Here's my big catch up post. Phones were not allowed during the Walk to Emmaus I attended. It was amazing and I had my Hiker in my pocket the whole time. I used it for various tasks through the weekend. When I got home, my wife's grandpa was in the hospital and not doing well so that's been time consuming as well. So anyways, here we go!

Day 19

Opened this Knifeless Climber? I guess it would be. It's got the file hook from the Compact, which is a nice bonus. Especially like that there's no Awl, which seems like a probably sticking point for security. Not sure I'd try to get it through the TSA, but worth a shot with stadium security or something.
