@GA1dad: I'd use a utility knife on banding. I fear it could dull an edge quickly.

@Marlowee221: Another G-Shock fan! :salute: Which one are you wearing?

@ReamerPunch: :like: Much better than the idea I had!

@Echotech: I've dealt with too many screws with heads clogged up with paint. It's no fun.

@Fireman: is that a Streamlight Stylus Pro?

@Barry Rowland: I haven't had a Clif bar in a while. Would have been a good choice for the Gas Station MRE challenge.

@BPRoberts: what's the beverage? I'm reminded that I need to replenish my Jarritos.

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 4

After a little crush-and-feel, I was 1,000% sure that this bag contained the Sugar Fairy.

I was right.

The other two I bought were duplicates. Good thing I verified that by feel. Just two more to find...

Day 4

Waiting for takeout for the family’s dinner tonight…

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Another long day at the office with nothing to report. We have had a couple days of all-day meetings at work about database design for an overhaul of our technology systems.

As the “Infrastructure Engineer” (software/IT, not roads and bridges), my presence is apparently required!  Fortunately, we have arrived at a new data model and can begin the long process of making the transition.

The problem with meetings (among other things) is there’s not a lot of opportunity to use a SAK!

It's the 5610u. I wear it a lot. But I also have GW-6900 that I wear quite a bit too. I also have several regular Casio watches - I like them just as much as I like SAKs!

March 30 Day Hiker Challenge
Day 5 of 30

While I used it several times, there was nothing photo worthy. So glamour shot it is.

Day 5

I used the back Phillips to tighten up the latch plate for our sliding glass door.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

To me, this is where the back Phillips shines. The screws are somewhat recessed - not deep at all, but deep enough that the can opener tip won’t work. Also, the screws just needed to be tightened. No full rotations required here.

Hope everyone is enjoying the challenge so far!

@MTSAK: I like that Bigfoot...and are you sporting Carhartts?

@Echotech: cool shot!

@Marlowe221: I'll look up those G-Shocks...and take a photo of the Hiker with mine before the challenge ends.

@Fireman: I don't have a Batman mminifigure, but I'm not done with Legos in this challenge.

@Barry Rowland: I know how that goes. I'll likely be tightening some drawer pull screws as the challenge progresses.

@GA1dad: glamor shots are perfectly okay, too!

@BPRoberts: are you planning some leather work?

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 5

I used the toothpick for its intended purpose. Since that would be a most unappealing action shot, here's one of the large blade being used to open a bag of chimichangas.

Yes, I eat these for breakfast and use paper towels instead of plates. The life of a bachelor...

Nope, they are some Goodfellow "khaki" colors pants from Target. I try to find pants as similar to jeans as I can to wear at work since we can't wear blue jeans except on Fridays...and had to pay to do that to boot!  I only willingly paid because the school uses the money to put towards a couple of scholarships given out to seniors at the end of the school year.

I used to, but not much anymore. Mostly just trying to maintain the leather I have. My wife likes how it smells.

@MTSAK: the weave looks a lot like that on my one pair of Carhartts...which I think are now too small.

@Echotech: for a safety razor or a utility knife?

@Fireman: good to see Tank! :like:

@Barry Rowland: That's one thing about newer vehicles that I'm not fond of.

@BPRoberts: I do that with old undershirts. Great for wiping down a knife blade (as long as it's not Case's hideously overpolished stainless).

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 6

There are entirely too many USB-Micro cables in my house. Sacrificing one for the challenge was no big deal.
