A non-modular pocket clip on a modular tool is a bit of a letdown.

Day 18

Day 16, anybody else enamoured with blade shape?
Yes, I do like the shape.

And as it’s over the half time of the challenge, I think on Day 16 (Dix Six) it’s time for some Pocket Garbage Tetris (Yes my Pockets are big enough for the Flex + it’s Companion, an Vic Huntsman and an Minichamp whit Custom Blue Scales, Olight Arkfield Pro, IPad Mini as my new Electronic Multitool (E-Book par exemple) and the Anbernic RG35XXSP an Retrohandheld in the Chape of an Nintendo GBA SP, plays everything from Atari VCS up to at least the not that demanding PSP Games and even some PC Ports like GTA 3 or Stardew Valley ..  (you need an Alternative OS “MuOS” for the Ports )
That is a lot of pocket carry.  My normal short pockets could probably hold most of that, but then I’m afraid my shorts would fall down without a tight belt
Day 16

The past few days I've been carrying the Flex and one container that fits 4 single slot tools.

Normally I would carry a SAK from this belt hanger but since I'm doing this challenge and using only modular tools it made sense to carry the spare tools there. 👍
That is an interesting idea for having more tools available

Day 18
We are suppose to be getting some snow and have the temperature drop again, so decided it was time for some outdoor coffee.

I then decided to play with the ruler magnet grabber

On my Pocket Garbage: its looks like much, but its actually not that heavy as its sounds, stuff like the Anbernic SP dosnt weight that much, and i have the Ipad Mini in the Oposide Pocket, so not everything on one leg ..

Did change something: I keep the Plier Based Roxon Flex as my EDC (combined whit an SAK), but the Companion as well as the second EDC Pouch whit the Bits and the Sewing Kit remains in my Rucksack .., this way i can trow the Anbernic SP faster than my Shadow ..

So i continue the Challenge whit half the Modular Tools .. , the Companion becomes my Backpack-Backup .. ^^

Pictures this Evening ..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Day 19

I had both the Flex and Companion at work today but now I'm home with relaxed pants on. Just the companion right now.

Day 18, so this may sound  overly nitpicky, but does anybody else wish the pocket clip was set up to offer multiple positions or just where you could pull out tool with blade oriented toward dominant hand  to open with thumb. Like pocket clip a lot and am very happy it has one. Just my random thought.

I haven't thought about it so I guess it doesn't bother me, but I'm all for more options. 👍

Day 19

Unjammed a paper punch with the flat head. The fish scaler would probably have done better here.

Day 19 (Dix Neuf) was getting to late today to mark an better picture,
Did use the Magnet of the Ruler to fish for Paper Clips when I swept the Office, did use the Package Opener and did swapped the Hook and the Riemer for the Screwdriver to get the small bit set again ..
It would be much cooler if there where an Bit Driver like on the Cybertool which also contains the Bits on the Tool ..

The Companion blade should have been set up with screws for the thumb-stud. We could then just screw it in for right or left hand, instead of having to buy a left-handed blade.
And the Flex should have 4 long tool slots. It is a little limiting as it is. Some tools can only go in one long tool slot of the two in the Flex.

Day 19
Maybe I shouldn’t have changed out the folding ruler because the file/ ruler/driver was to short to measure the snow.

The Companion chisel cut a zip tie from some paracord.  The chisel tool is similar to the Spirit chisel if only the edge and corner were sharp.  I might try sharpening the corner of the chisel like I do on the SAK combo tool, so it can be used as a package opener like the Spirit chisel.  I don’t have much to lose especially with it being replaceable.

Day 20

These little serrated blades make great package openers. LM puts them on the "small" slots on a few of their tools and I wish more companies did the same.

Day 20 - 2

Packages starting to arrive in the Pro Shop. The ROXON package opener is so awesome:tu:  Sharp, goes through the sticky tape like butter. No fear of damaging the contents with a long blade. When the Leatherman goes back into my pocket, I'll also keep a companion with package opener, it's that good IMHO.

Day 20
I got some new thinner reflective rope so I decided to play around with it even though I'm normally not much of a lanyard guy.

Day 20

I used my modular tools a bunch today including working on a setup to protect some saplings from the upcoming large winter /spring sun.

Day 19:

I was trying to put a notch  in a hot/sharp/awkward piece of metal using the edge of my metal file.  It is very handy to be able to use both at the same time.

Day 20, put T6 & T8  to use. So far they have not stripped, but I haven’t pushed my luck with applying  a lot of torque (….yet)

Day 20:

Today I switched to a tool insert for my ProLock that I never totally finished.  I have always liked the Vic slotted (flat) driver/bottle opener tool that you find on nearly every SAK.  I wanted to make an insert that had all tools donated from Victorinox tools.  I managed to get a blade and the driver/bottle opener.  I really wanted to put a good philips driver in the remaining space, but I never found a good tool to use.  I have had the original philips and original can opener from the ProLock in there just as a space holder.  You really couldn't open a can or drive a screw with the original Prolock tools, the quality is horrendous.   I was really hopping to find time to finish this one before February, but it's still cool to get to use the other tools.

SE Virginia.  It was t-shirt weather here on Monday, but now it is in the 20s F with  a foot of snow.
