New member here! My first full sized Leatherman. Got this in a trade with the mighty Zoidberg. First impressions are good - very compact but feels heavy duty. Only had it about twenty minutes so I won't say too much.

The Crunch was also my first Leatherman, and my first serious, name-brand, full sized multi-tool.  I used to carry it EVERY DAY.    :like:

Do I need a crunch? I have a rebar and wave, and am happy. But I am drawn to the design and enginuity of the crunch and feel like it would be fun to have. Would I use it? I use my regular pliers regularly if not daily, not sure how this different type of grips would translate. (I also carry a knife.)

They are very cool to have :pok: That is all you need to know :D

I think deep inside he is aware of this.

Like all of us who do not own a Crunch, he also has that deep, dark, unnerving, point-like, barely-noticable-but-still-there feeling which pulls him towards that particular MT... I can imagine the countless times he envisioned himself sliding his hands on the polished, asymmetrical metal and on the knob of that weird screw at the bottom... The physical sensation, the haptic feedback when that unfamiliar ball-socket connector locks in place... And don't get me started about the moment when that long screw is removed and the hex bit socket is revealed...

As impressive as the Crunch is, I couldn't see me carrying mine around so I gifted it to a certain denizen of Smurfthorpe where I hope it has found a welcome home. Brilliant tool, buit I can't bear the thought of it not being used so onward it goes.

Crunch in action turning a PST pliers pivot and hence almost eliminating serious pivot wobble :D  :D

Hi I have had my LM crunch since January and love the quality
The only problem for me is the locking blade as in the uk you are not aloud any size locking blade or any folding knife over 3"
So all I want to do is remove the blade and fit scissors instead
I like what biker_bob did with his crunch apart from the blade locking I think it's a great multitool

Glad to see this thread still going after all these years. I used my Crunch the other day to clamp shut my Doritos Cool Ranch as I couldn't find my bag clip . Thousands of uses! ::) :D

Finally got a crunch off of ebay used in great condition Dec 2017 for only $64 shipped, feels like I stole it. Have carried it every day since with my Micra & sometimes one of my old faithfull Waves. Yay, I am a Cruncher!

I got one about 6 1/2 years ago, used, but in great condition for a similar price :tu:  It is still going strong after a lot of use, some bordering on abuse.
Had I known how many times it would save the day, I would have gladly paid full price :D

Thanks! I'm still carrying my UK modded Crunch every day, it's now got a diamond file from a PSTII so I can sharpen the (now removable) knife blade with it. It's my only multitool (well that and the 23 spare Crunches I have in the loft)....
