Most of the time yes.  Today it's only an L0D though with no back up.

I've got a fauxton if I really need it... but for the most part I just carry a spare battery for my Serac S2 :)

During daytime I EDC single cell light such as L1D or UF A10 or A1. When I go out late PM I always carry any 2 cell CR123 light and a single cell light for backup.

I always have my LD01 on the keychain and that goes everywhere (even if I'm staying in the house).  Each of my coats have a fauxton attached to it somewhere (usually to an internal pocket zip or similar), so for most situations that is my backup.

I often have a PD20 in my pocket, and I've always got one in the car with spare batteries.  If I'm doing some dedicated outdoors stuff at night then I'll either take my TK11 or M20.  For proper searching at night I'll take my Wolf Eyes Storm.

It depends what I'm doing.  EDC I'll almost always have the LD01 with fauxton backup.  More dedicated night time persuits will see me with the LD01 and fauxton backing up something else.

I've usually got some Cyalumes on me as well...  :D

I usually have a photon type thing or a True Utility torch on my keys to back up my LD10/LD20.

It's rare that I would actually need either in any serious situation but I like carrying bright things!

I carry a back up for my back up. Right now I am carrying as my main light the new Surefire L4, then I have a RA Clicky 140C on me also. And on my keys I have a Fenix P1D with a homemade diffuser for a great flood light.

Main keychain (always with me when out of the house) has a Streamlight Nano attached.

Secondary keychain (usually with me when out of the house) has a Fenix E01.

Rucksack has a SL StylusPro and a SL Nano.

Briefcase has a SL Microstream and a SL Nano.

My E01 and fauxton on the keychain (and fauxton on every zipper pull on every jacket/coat),

plus a few lights in the car/truck; crank, shake and battery.

Mag Solitaire, of course!

Actually, I carried Solitaires for many years (around 16 years IIRC) and they never failed me when I needed a little light.  Durable and reliable little lights.

I still have four Solitaires of various colors stored away, ready to go whenever they're needed.

My keychain has a Fenix E01 attached and that is good enough for most of daily needs (you don’t want to blind someone when looking for something you drop at the cinema). Furthermore I always have my TK20 on my bag.

Other than that my primary cellphone has a build-in led light.

When I go geocaching at night I also carry a Fenix L1D on my belt and at least 1 L0D just because

My Fenix L0D Q4 stays with me on my keyring at all times.  I am also carrying a 2AAA mini-maglite with a Terralux TLE-20 drop-in in my bag.  The logic is that the maglite acts as a holder for spare batteries for the Fenix, but it can also be used in candle mode.  As a torch the Fenix has the upper hand in most regards.

Almost always I have a Fenix LOD with me (in pocket or wave sheat) and no back up. It never let my down (or lost it) so no need for a back up yet. But thinking (for over a month now  :-\ ) to get a Fenix LD10 or a LD20 as a backup in my bag. Just in case...alright I just want one  :D  ::)

I'm pretty rabid about backups , I once had a Minimaglight fail in a crawl space under a high school , I tried to change the bulb in total darkness , no go . It was not a fun crawl ! Thereafter I always carried a Mini Mag AA on the belt , and a Mini Mag AAA in the shirt pocket . With the advent of high output LED lites , I have relegated the Mags to the kitchen drawer .

Um, I like this topic. Becuase of my job I usually carry flashlight with me to check the machine. So my main light is JETBEAM III M and with a small 1AA light as backup. Additional I have a photon LED key light called freedom to max on my keychain! Do you think it is amazing? But I like to carry them all!

I usually EDC a Nitecore D10 clipped to my pocket.  I usually carry several backups--in my laptop bag, vehicle, etc.

backups:

Arc-P snow around my neck
NiteCore D20 in laptop bag
Jetbeam C-LE v1.2 in laptop bag
Peak First Responder in BOB
Gerber Infinity (white) in BOB
Gerber Infinity (red) in BOB
Zebralight H50 in BOB
Streamlight Propolymer Luxeon 4AA in glove box

I guess I'm fairly well covered....  ::)  My laptop bag comes with me to the office, and the BOB is always in my vehicle.

Yeah... who'd have though that we MTOers, stoic and sensible people, who only buy that which we need would collect small shiny expensive toys that can light up the night...

Oh, wait a minute...

:D

I carry an LD10 backed up by an LD01 on the keychain now.  Got some random cheapo lights to go in the car etc (magnetised backing makes them useful) and I've got a warrior M20 for when I'm going to need a dedicated torch.  As usual, the rest of the collection is back in the UK
