Apparently it wrong to stick up for your friends when someone is Lying about them there.

I got banned for two weeks because a member was bashing Todd from TT pocketTools and I. Jumped it and said what he was saying wasn't true.

If the member that Started the Drama I would be fine.

The Rule I broke is talking about a banned Member. I did I'm fine with my ban I didn't even know it was a rule. Just I think it's unfair to punish one and not the other.

I'm Fine I like it here.

Just worked out a trade for a vic swisstool.

This forum is just as fun with more info I'm interested in with less drama.

I'll be back on EDCF after my ban.
 At lest until more Drama gets me kicked out for good.

I'd tell them(EDCF) to make your ban permanent and they can go SMURF themselves

I honestly wouldn't take it personally or seriously Joel, they have a lot of strange rules over there, I'm particularly amused by the no zombie one... I walk a thin line myself, but I know that the vibe on every forum is quite different.

You will find MTO to be the most relaxed and easy going place online in my experience. You have to be an utter knob jockey to get yourself banned from here!

I left one of the aforementioned forums quite a while back ... a very short time after Nuphy dragged me over here to be fair (yes, it's all her fault  ) If I'd hung around there much longer I'm sure I would have been banned eventually. Other than the management style I felt there were too many people talking out of the wrong orifice, and it was very difficult not to get drawn in Far too angagonistic as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not slating that forum, as many I've visited seem to be very similar in that respect - just (for me) another reminder of the good thing we've got going here

It's just the name of the game really, and I think I'd rather play it the way we are rather than try to turn this place into some kind of Jerry Springer three ring circus for the sake of a few extra bucks.

Sadly, this is true.  Bickering fights generate a lot of one line posts, and generates a lot of voyeurism, with the occasional "Go get 'em!" thrown in.  While it buoys up numbers, it really doesn't build a positive community and certainly doesn't add any real info.

MT.O has a very friendly open atmosphere, but to keep it afloat, it does require that members be active, since we don't have a baseline Troll service.

If I recall the TT guy shill posted his own stuff when first started, so the management probably had some beef with him, which I guess extended to you.

That's what happened but a member that starts with T and ends with r was the one who broght him up and was lying about him. Saying he repedley tried shilling on edcf he did it ounce got caught and got banned so I think if we where both banned it would be fair.

O well when is life fair.

I wish owning a website made me special and/or important.  Really I do.  My ego could really use the boost.  They say there are ten billion web pages out there.  There are seven billion people on the planet.  That means basically that I (and other website owners) are actually less important than everyone else because we are even more common than the average human being.

Sorry about the banning bit. MTO is a online oasis, IMO. I do very little recreational browsing and surfing of late, due to a too busy schedule. Yet, I always look forward to visiting here. Comfortable, informative, and fun this place be   . Several of the other torch and multitool forums have VERY different vibes. Most of them I won't visit. If I can't find the EDC related answer here, I figure it may not be worth knowing.

EDCF is a bunch of elitists who won't respond unless it's to flame you; CPF is a thinly disguised advertising site, and Blade Forums, well, they're just mostly, um...  Okay, golden rule time now, I won't say anything more.   

I've only ever been temporarily banned from CPF, for posting comments complaining about the tints of one of their primary advertisers... That little tiff was well publicized, so I won't go into it again.  But just for fun, let me say two words about it... Fecal Coagulation!  LOL!!!
