Some of these well used tools do look good :D

I try to keep mine shiny and clean but am not afraid to use them either; with time I will proudly post my well used gear  :tu:

Ideally it would be nice to have one of each model; a shelf queen and an EDC  :ahhh

I'm a long time ED knife carrier that's finally branching into MT realm.  I figured I'd share my EDC for the last 5 or 6 years.  It's a Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops with a tanto blade that I've abused to the point that it's starting to resemble a drop point.  With the (painted on?) black finish, it has scratches and scuffs a plenty.  Been used for cutting (anything and everything), chiseling, scraping, prying, poking, hammering, rasping (just look at the texture on those handles!), shimming, and driving/loosening screws.  After looking over that list, I'd say it's high time I got a multitool.  Still, this knife has served me well.  At less than $15, it's cheap enough that I don't mind banging it on stuff but still sturdy enough to take everything I dish out.

Welcome to the forum, Cameron.  You've gotten your money's worth from that knife.   :D

I dug around and found my old Case 6392 Stockman that I carried for years along with a large folder and slip joint pliers on the belt. I havent carried it for along time and has been in a storage box. I need to give it a little TLC.

I found this little one at a car boot sale last year.  Its very stiff at the moment but I'm sure it'll free up.  i can't complain for 10p :D

No make on it though, sorry.

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

If left undisturbed in the bottom of a dark tool box for a few years they can grow to quite a size :tu:

ten year old swisstool:

used as an hammer, modded...

Hold up. I demand more details. How exactly is that Powerlock wire stripper attached? Will that work on a Spirit (width?) how well does that set-up work?

Looks like it's simply bolted to the lanyard attachment.  There was a thread on it somewhere.

Yeah I'm actually more curious how much it flops around since the hole is oblong and if not how does he keep it still. I imagine there can't be much holding it on the other side since it would interfere with the pliers closing. But it looks awesome, and if it works decently well and won't be too big, I'm really tempted to do that to my Spirit

Acttually because of the handle shape, I'm not so sure it'd work on the Spirit. Might try anyway though.

The older holes were round.  Could be one of those.

I'll see if I can find the thread...

Ah-ha! I searched and couldn't come up with the thread. Thanx Benner  :salute:

Hmm, looks like it won't work right with a Spirit because of the size/shape of the tool, but if I get my hands on another Swisstool, I am SO doing that  :tu:

The tiny C-wrench I found in a bucket in the checkout isle at a independent industrial hardware store for 99 cents a piece. Maker? Some place in China, naturally. I bought a whole bunch, I might have one extra laying around. PM an address and you might get a surprise.
