well i went to the ashley heath car booty today in the new forest,its huge but i had some real luck, 2 Khukri's  for £15

Those are some nice blades, a little tlc and they'll be looking fine. Thou the sheaths need a bit of work the knives themselves look fantastic!

After a couple of days sitting in the vinegar it was washed off in the sink with some cream cleaner


After just one hour new rust started to appear   




More lettering has become visible ***E IN ENGLAND
And on the other side BRA*** 1 ½
So I'm guessing Brades 

You can see the line where the blade was hardened (hamon?) and the dark flecks are maroon paint



I added the handle I received from Neil at last years meet, it looks a bit thick for the Ax but will see if it grows on me

Picked this up last week, always wanted one. Tried it on a piece of wood, all I can say is thank god for power drills!

I nearly didn't go this morning as it has been raining all weekend but I thought Neil would take the micky,
I went a bit later than normal it felt like it was going to rain soon so people were nearly giving stuff away 

A Slasher that needs a lot of sharpening 
Two more rusty ax heads (like I need another ax    )
A very cute little hammer and a nice beech hammer for my chisels
Two junior hacksaws in a 'two for one deal' 

A cheap slippy with a horses head on the tang 






Ooh and some beer

He would need to spend a few hours at the grinder first as this wouldn't cut butter 
(Camp Crystal would have been a much safer place if he had been carrying this)

It weighs 2lbs, the curved cutting edge is 9” and is 18” long

That hammer is really nicely made Gareth 
One end is faily flat and the the other has a slight curve to it

Can't see any markings yet...... need more vinegar

PS, If try this at home be aware that it will stain grey T-shirts and white kitchen worktops when you are washing tools off in the sink

   i cant wait to see angies face the next time we get fish and chips      although dont get red food colouring on the side board      it stains bad and as on my fingers its hard to say i know nothing

Adding some Linseed oil mixed with white spirit to my new mallet



A few coats later 



    I picked this up today anyone know what its for?    (I think I do, well 95% sure)
The round bit is curved like a saucer or bowl about an inch deep and 8inches in diameter Its all metal and 29inches in length
