Oohh like that old one with the shackle.  Are those carbon blades?
---

I've been going through the collection trying to find 1 of 3 knives for a specific photo for someone.  I'm not finding any of the 3, but I'm sure finding some good stuff.

These two were purchased from great forum members, and the 111mm I just purchased from EDCSource and it arrived Saturday I think.  If anyone one has 58 or 84mm knife for this family they would like to part with please send me a PM.

A nice older Spartan with a beautiful metal Hiker inlay. Interestingly enough, the back side of the blade is stamped "economy". No T & T.

Check this out for more details about this knife.

The ALPINEER model is listed on eBay right now :ahhh
No shipping to Europe :(

24 beaters I am hopping to dress up a little  :D :D. The seller had a nice silver Alox Classic that lead to me buying a green Alox Classic from Tim. I also nabbed a Wenger Tradesman with sheath from Tim at the same time.

The SAK pass-around lead to me getting a Tradesman of my own & the Green Classic is my second Alox Classic. I love the feel & slimness of the Alox Classics  8) 8) 8)

Lots of beat up neglected SAKs , I got them in a bulk lot auction & they need work. Most of the scales are poor , which is OK as I am going to put wood scales on them. They came absolutely filthy & the blades will need polishing. About 3 are only good for parts but the rest should clean up ok. It worked out to about $2.50 per SAK which is not too bad I reckon. As too the exact models I got....... ::) they are red & Swiss  :P :D :D

Is the blue the same kind of flat (i.e. not shiny) alox as the black one?

Well, I have not held a black one to tell the difference but the blue alox is shiny like the red one. Looks like it has shine to me like a coating of sorts maybe?

Thanks Wayne, I was curious as I saw a black one last week and found the finish unusual.
