Yea the chunky SAK's are sweet.  I don't have one at the moment, but I had a sweet Swisschamp with Sapphire blue scales a few years ago.  I loved that thing.

after taking a gamble on an ebay auction, where the picture looked good, (only to find out it is from SAKWiki
I received my new in an unopened box WorkChamp XL.

I paid $96 total ($86 + $10 Shipping)  so I am very happy with the price.

the label had not been peeled off, (or 99% sure it wasn't)

this item shows no signs of ever having been out of the box

Factory oil all over as it should be

I do not have enough 111s to know, but do they STILL say PATENTED?

I think I got a steal on this one!   :tu:  I wanted a WorkChamp, but the price increase over a Hercules was kinda steep to just add a file.  I got this for about the same price as a workchamp.   :D
If I can help, let me know

Well done Detron I think you did get a steal here -  :tu:  Aren't they usually $200+ ?

Although I have got to say - The Workchamp XL falls into my 'silly SAK' category  :o -  along with the XAVT.
Three blades ?? Really?? - Although the clippoint blade must be very unusual for a SAK these days!!
And would I say 'no' to a $86 Workchamp XL?? ..... Probably not!!
Will you use it? Is it possible to use it  ??? Or is a discussion/show piece?

I received a new Skipper for Christmas and the serrated knife blade still says PATENTED, just like my 10 year old Rucksack.

You know a few times I have noticed a, what seems to be unjustified, big price hike for one extra layer, for a few Vic SAKs
Not sure why that would be ???
- Move from comon model to less common model ??
- Move from automated production to manual ?? - I know all the big big models are hand assembled.

I have also recently bought this $96 workchamp XL bnib unopened on ebay. I couldnt believe it too but its from a seller with 100% feedback so I thought I'd take my chances. It is currently en route to Singapore.... hope it all turns out well too

Anyway there are quite a few sellers selling at $110 with free shipping recently. Any idea what's going on? My best guess is that sellers are clearing existing stocks because nobody's buying them

I think not many people buy the Workchamp XL. Although I really like the looks of the huge knives, I also don't think I will buy the Workchamp XL. It has too many "useless" tools (for most people) like the hoof cleaner and the marlin spike, 2 inline phillips screwdrivers (isn't 1 enough?), a combo tool AND separate can and bottle openers... what were they thinking  ???

The combination of tools is just weird. While nice to look at, the whole thing is pointless  ::)

Me likey. Really cool birthday present. It will be my new edc in lieu of the Tinker. It looks and feels better but I miss the pin, the length and the smooth liners.
