About time I had a latest SAK, a Delémont Rangergrip 71 Gardener. It's a beast! Will not be pocket carrying this one, but will be toting it around the kitchen and garden in a few days.  :tu:

EVERY time I see the cigar cutter I have the same thought... EVERY time... granted yaknow... for me it would need to be a 130mm knife with heftier implements

That can be arranged.

I have a similar Wenger that came from a dealer in Germany. Don't remember his name, but yours might be from the same area.

Wow, both of those stags are beauties guys!

I vaguely remember someone posting in the Mod area about either those or similar, maybe have a look there?

Thanks all!

Was looking under German ebay, but not finding anything. Vague recollection that it came from a German watch dealer who at one time had a number of custom leather-handled Wengers, but not going to swear to that.

Just traded for a copper scaled Tinker, now the hard choice in the next couple of days. Do I participate in the November 111mm challenge or carry my new SAK?

Received a Harvester in the post (from Slovakia) yesterday, just in plain silver Alex, but at a very good price. No key ring, but this should make the saw more comfortable to use. Will post pics later.

These two additions to the Rogues' Gallery of Discontinued SAKs arrived late yesterday . . .

Victorinox 58mm Bijou-SD
(Who can spot what makes it different from a Classic-SD, without consulting anyone or any reference material)

Victorinox 93mm Pioneer Solo Alox
Too bad they didn't make these in 84mm size. Would probably be one of the thinnest SAK ever made!

BINGO! Bijou is a Classic without the split ring. Don't know when they were discontinued, but just like the Classic, there were two variants, one with the pointed nail file and the other "SD" with small flat tip on the nail file.

Much like cutting something just a tad too short. No matter how much you keep trimming it, you can't make it the desired length.

This BNIB Explorer Plus arrived very recently wearing red Cellidor. Wanted something other than red Cellidor for it; ruby, blue or sapphire didn't seem right though (maybe blue). Had been thinking about black, but already have all those older can key Tinkers in black. Got these Titanium Plus scales for it and put them on this afternoon. IMO the silvery Ti suits the Explorer character better.

It's a little heavier now, but not nearly as much as the copper scales I put on a Tinker.

I agree with both comments.
It's one of the things that attracted me to it. My father retired from GE after about 35 years with them. It's my impression this would have been a handout to employees in addition to marketing usage as my father had a number of GE logo jewelry and similar items. GE was usually understated in just using their basic logo; probably felt they didn't need to say anything more than that and the result is classier.
