Would anyone care to guess how old it is based upon these pictures?

Late 70s to early 80s. I'd say 1978 - 1981.

Thanks! I appreciate the guesstimate. I know that the fine screwdriver on the backside dates it as an older model. I just don't know how old? I love the split-head Phillips screwdriver that is half round and half square. In hand this knife feels much smaller than other 4 layer SAK's I own because of that rounded Phillips and the lack of a keyring. This particular knife has a lot of miles on it! The main blade has been sharpened so much that there is an appreciable loss of steel. It's still got a lot of miles left in it, though. And for what it cost me--$6.50--I think I got a great deal on a vintage, discontinued, Victorinox Swiss Army Knife!

I too like the older squared Phillips driver because of the way it fits in my hand for use and carry. It seems more smooth , unlike the corkscrew which can dig into your hand somewhat. No keyring models do ride better in the pocket IMHO. I just saw an Executive model in like new condition on eBay which has no key ring. That is fairly rare in the 74mm size frame. I can provide a link to it if anyone is interested.

My latest alox user will be with inline philips and no keyring poking my hand.  :tu:
And I just don't like lanyards getting wet and dirty.

This Wenger Skier knife has the special red plastic tool for ski wax. Does anyone know how the tool is used?

It is used in a scraping motion to remove the excess wax that has just been freshly aplied to the "belag".
IIRC

I believe it is the same use as the one shown in this picture

As a side note, as explained in the wiki, there were actually two models of the skier made (at least in Europe).
One is with the saw (like the one pictured, catalog n. 1 42 03)

... and one without (catalog n. 1 34 03)

I found a shop here and the owner has an old catalog.
I had a quick look, and there is ton of useful informations and pictures (European catalog numbers, the Europe serie, the buffalo horn serie, etc...)
He is making copies of most of it for me.
I will then upload it, so we can use it as reference.

So is the beveled edge of the tool laid onto the board or the back flat side? Still I am not getting it. I see the photo of the girl using some kind of long wide scraper but this red plastic tool is rather short and will not go across the entire width of the board like she is doing.

Any more info?

Seriously, perhaps it works by putting the bevel flat on the board and shave, edge first? Work from both ways along the sides. Anyhow, I would take a dedicated tool instead.

Not really a new acquisition, but I was cleaning my tool box yesterday, and I found an old branded SwissCard that I hadn't seen for years. It was kind of cool :D

It's a Mountaineer (or Montagnard in Canada). Early versions didn't include the hook. (# 1.3743).

This time, I did buy an SAK.  I bought a couple of the Swiss military issued sheaths from Weber's(in europe), since they're not for sale here in the states.

Here is a modern newer Spartan model with Stadtpolizei and these crest or coat of arms. Does anyone recognize which city it represents? Is it Swiss or German? What is that a seal or otter or what? Please excuse my photographs since my move quite a few things have disappeared including my trusty camera I was so used to.

The crest on the left side is from Wetzikon and the one on the right side is from Gossau. Both are towns in Switzerland Kanton Zurich.
