Thank you!
and, where did you find this SPARTAN?I have read about the self assembly stations at VIC STORES in Europe.
I was curious, here state side; flea markets, estate sales, garage sales and eBay or other auction sites are where the special finds can be found. Or, gifts from friends who may find, if they know your passion. Always a story!!!In your part of the world I expect not much different, so I ask…
New one in box at a very low price, I couldn't resist, would you?(Image removed from quote.)

This is a model I've wanted for quite a while — the Mountaineer. I think that it's a really cool model; I was a bit upset that it didn't have a backside chisel, but I think the price difference between one of these and a Ranger is significant enough that (if one doesn't need a saw) this is a practical model. Since I find myself using the file about five-ten times more than the saw, this model definitely suits my needs. By the way does anybody know how many years it's been since Victorinox made an 84mm model with a file in it? And whether there were ever 84mm models with the new-style file?Oh, also, I got one of these red leather pouches (that fits the Swisschamp) finally and I absolutely love it. I vastly prefer this to the black leather and velcro ones. I want to try to find a way to affix the pry bar, which fits perfectly in the side of the pouch — what would you guys recommend?
That's a very nice case. Can you use a magnet on the inside of the pouch to attach the pry bar from the outside?
+1Was going to suggest that or having a couple of O-rings (or similar elastic bands) around the pouch. That way, you could get another OPT on the other side, too.
Just bought this special order Alox Mountaineer X. Not vintage but definitely unusual knife. (Image removed from quote.)
It's a SAK, a beard, a pint, and a Defender. I have the Cadet they did a few years ago.
