The golden color is a bit more weared down then it is visible in the pic.
Overall it is in great shape. The blade is marked "Victoria" on the other side of the tang.
I will be dropping it off at the PO tomorrow after work.  :tu:

Thanks! :salute:

Lowtech sent me a Spartan a while back. It got my first set of Australian Silky Oak scales on it, 4mm thick. Nice and slim. Here's what that Spartan looks like today.  :D

Turned the knife around on both sides to show the light effect play on the scales. The grain of the silky oak grows in two different directions at the same time. Finished it with pure Tung oil.

Of the two, you like the EvoWood more?   :D
Am so tempted to get one. The least expensive one is $97 on Amazon.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this.....

I already had the alox cadets but I just got the Swiss tools.

. Hard to say. The wood has a warm, organic look and feel, but I miss the T&T.   The significant extra cost is also a bit hard to swallow.

This lot could be interesting...

I know the Awl tip is broken, but for $15...   Wish the photo was a bit clearer, with the aid of wishful thinking I'm hoping I'm seeing a WK stamp,  but it's probably just a jpeg artifact.

Switching between Guild Wars 2 and the forum, thought that was a metal toothpick there - not the tweezers.

Wonder if that's the same kind of knife in Dunc's Antarctica story?

It's not. The Antarctica knife does not have the long nail file. Looks like the scissors on that one rotate from the bottom end of the knife. If it had he nail file it would be reversed.

If that makes sense  :P

I know Wootz posted pics of this SAK before but because it's now mine and because it's a beauty I'll post it again :)

I love the scale color. It's somewhere between standard silver and gold alox.

Here's my newest baby, from the airport chapel sale for a whopping $5.00

I honestly don't think it has ever been used!  It looks like there's factory oil in all the pivots, and some on the insides on the back springs and liners.

I really wish I had of taken a bunch of money with me as there were probably 15-20 different Alox Wenger and Vic knives there ranging from the 70's to the 00's.  All around $3 each.  Some were in rough shape, but others like new.  Total, there were probably around 200 Swiss Army knives in the box!!
