Oh Terry, you (and everyone else here) would have been drooling at this sale.  They're usually not too bad, but this was the best one I've ever been to.  They had SOG's, Bucktools, Lots of Gerbers, and few diferent Leathermans, Waves, PSTs, TONS and TONS of different knives, nice lighters, and I could keep going.

Some things were in almost garbage state, but most were in really good condition.  The prices on most of the things are crazy good as the profits are to support the Chapel, so they'd rather sell more things at lower prices.

My Red Cadet Alox finally turned up and I picked it up from the from the post office.
As a bonus a Alox Bantam also was waiting for me when I got home today.

I guess it was this Chapel sale then?

Erin Go Bragh!

One-hand Trekker for the Irish Army.

In addition to its interesting logo for a marina on Lake Zurich, this blue-handled beauty is a Picnicker rather than the more usual Skipper or Helmsman.

Nice 'Catch'!

The 'Fly Fisherman Catch' was sold in the US as the 'Catch and Release'. ---Already mentioned on another thread.  :P

If you are a fly fisherman then check the Wenger thread as I am trying to figure out what the Fly-tying groove is for and whether it is an original feature.

Haven't fly fished for a decade+ now. Used a pair of forceps with a groove I put down the center. Was for tying various knot for the fly & line-splicing. And for removing hooks as most fish I caught were released.
Miss fly fishing. Small fish put up a bigger fight then the bigger ones, but I do recall catching a wild rainbow once. It put up a good fight, should of released it. Tasted great in the fry pan though.

I saw that one, but it was just the wrong month.  I almost bid on it because it sat for so long with no bidders.  That one does seem a bit tough to come by.

It's actually pretty new, these Climbers with LNF appear to be a Europe-only model and have been available new until at least 2011. Rather expensive though.

A few thousand must have been issued by now as I first seen then in about 2009.
In a few years I would say there will be a lot of them for sale as ex soldiers start to sell of their unwanted gear.

This will be my first LNF model, they seem rare to me as I've never seen one except in photos. When I carried a SwissChamp I used the scaler/hook remover to reach things that required a long narrow tool a few times. Maybe this would serve the same purpose. I hope it's not too rare to carry!  :)

My lovely daughter bought me an Explorer yesterday in a local antique shop. It needs a little TLC, including a new spring for the scissors, but she inspected it thoroughly, and haggled the price down to £7.50! I'm really chuffed with it but have to wait until the end of May before I can get my mitts on it.

I can't wait!

Pics to come in May........

BTW, congrats on the Pioneer sale, way out of my collector league, but happy to see that.
