maybe throw on black plus scales ... should look nice with the black bit holder.

Yes Reinier. I made it from parts of a few used Vics with damaged tools. I made one mistake... I over-peened (or how do you call it) the two main pins. It takes a lot of effort to open and close the tools...

I have had success in loosening up overpeened knives by using a chisel blade Xacto knife blade and gently hammering it in between the tools and liners from the end of the SAK. it acts as a very fine wedge and in most cases will "stretch" the pin a few thou' and free up the blade pivots.

But yes, a piece of 5 thou' (0.005") shim in the stack while peening and then removed (I have a piece with a slot in one end) makes for the proverbial "Ounce of prevention".

Yes, I'm sure the spring would have to be a blackened single angle leaf on a knife of that vintage. If you have to adapt though it would still work out.
