A new "'shop" (clic on "Boutique") has just been launched in bilingual English / French for our English, American, Australian and other friends, all major SAKs collectors and especially Swiss soldiers knives.

What's the plan for it?

i will get rid of the opener lay and pliers and replace the small blade with the combo tool.
maybe throw on black plus scales ... should look nice with the black bit holder.

pretty much perfect for my edc needs.

A nice addition to my 74mm collection: an alox Prince in an uncommon bluish-green color :)

Which means that I now have 50 74mm SAKs :P

Yes Reinier. I made it from parts of a few used Vics with damaged tools. I made one mistake... I over-peened (or how do you call it) the two main pins. It takes a lot of effort to open and close the tools...

I know about the over peening problem!  Now I use shim stock, peen, then pull out the shim and it's worked much nicer.  :tu:

I have had success in loosening up overpeened knives by using a chisel blade Xacto knife blade and gently hammering it in between the tools and liners from the end of the SAK. it acts as a very fine wedge and in most cases will "stretch" the pin a few thou' and free up the blade pivots.

But yes, a piece of 5 thou' (0.005") shim in the stack while peening and then removed (I have a piece with a slot in one end) makes for the proverbial "Ounce of prevention".

84mm LNF Climber. It is missing the scissor spring. Is it supposed to be one of those black single sided ones?

That's fabulous!  Cross post the image link to the 84mm Love thread.

Yes, I'm sure the spring would have to be a blackened single angle leaf on a knife of that vintage. If you have to adapt though it would still work out.
