Just got an alox black Farmer. It was packed in about a mile of industrial strength plastic wrapping, which I hacked through with my newish Spartan. Chopped the tip of my finger open in the process; leading me lose about a pint of blood and to believe this Farmer is cursed.

So I'll be ebaying it before the day is done. Or otherwise Gawd knows what misfortunes await me.

I like that bottom one alot.  I'd like to turn my 557 in that.  Will the combo tool work?

where did you find that color scale?

I don't see why it shouldn't as it's being used on the same layer as the knife blade already. You can get the parts cheaper than by ripping the 557 apart. Wenger Nomads and Cyclists pop up occasionally at good prices, $10-15. The scales were worn painted ones from the Snife series I sanded down and polished.

Are you really selling it because you think it is cursed?

Christmas came early this year!

Wenger United Woods. A beautiful set of knives, though the red EVO S557 should have been the EVOwood version.

Cool! Enjoy!!!! I'd swap that red with a EvoWood S557 for display (they are closed so the blade imprint is hidden) and put the red one aside (or use it >:D) just in case the set has to be recompleted later. No SAK modified in the process, just for looks.

Thought about that, but I'm so obsessive it would probably drive me nuts to have the wrong knife in the box. :ahhh

Here's my catch from the past week...

Some very nice ones in there. Really dig the hardwood huntsman, and the orange Cadet. The Traveller Lite will easily be my regular EDC - it even has a nail file on the multi purpose hook, that is brilliant!!!

This final piece is like an 84 mm Spartan... Anyone have any info on it? By the look of it, I'd say 1961. Am I far off?

I got a used Executive in the mail yesterday. It was around $17 from feebay. At $30, they're kind of expensive for new ones now. (for their tool set, at least)

When one considers that an Explorer is the same price, the Executive seems like a big rip-off.

In the right era but I'd say closer to 64-65. Close up of the tang stamp would help.

What's that little blade(?) in the Monarch, near the bail? Package opener?... Never saw one like it...

WOW! Never would've guessed that! Can you imagine the amount of time to come up with a design like that? Not intuitive at all but seems extremely functional!

Extremely cool knives you have there. I never really linked there cross with religion (stupid me), but now that I have the thought in my head I think those non-christian shields on the knives are extremely cool. It is not a religious reason for me either. Just think it's cool that they are actually made like that. Are these old knives? How hard where they to find? Thanks for sharing. I like finding new knives that interest me.  :tu:
