Thank you jazzbass, is it from 60's? Hope mine is the one that does not fall apart :)

It looks pretty good - usually you'll see the scales pull away from the knife and the inlay and bail will be tarnished. Date-wise it's definitely the 1960s, I'd guess around 1963 by the looks of it. If you consider that the small awl starts c. 1962, and the earliest of these had the scissors layer next to the main blade, this would have been made shortly after those.

The color is very similar in real life - almost identical- to the Seaman light blue from the blue marlinspike series. Very nice indeed.

Not the best photos for comparison:

They all look great. I like the Midshipman's blue better than the rest though.   :tu:

I got me a Rambler in red alox scales as a Christmas gift. The man said they're kind of collectible so initially that made me reconsider my intention of EDCing it.

Seeing that the anodising isn't perfect I had no further remorse. I can't capture it with my cellphone camera, there are two spots missing the red colour and they aren't scratches or dings

I'm liking the Rambler a lot. I may have to pick up another one (or should I just wait to get me a Alox Minichamp  ?).

My Christmas gift, Black Soldier, if I´m not mistaken there is an old post here that says that this is from Malaysia Police force, although it is found mainly here in Brazil.

Even here now is difficult to find one of these. Fortunately I could grab this one.
