Ooh I like that '64 one!

Not really my latest but I kind of forgot about this Spartan Lite designed by Christopher Raeburn that Jamie sent me last year:

No idea why they put it in this rather old fashioned looking (but still very nice) box:

A Champ, Cybertool 41, Huntsman, and in the background, an as of yet unidentified used Wenger (Backpacker 2??).

Yes, that is a Backpacker II.  Nice SAKs you have there.  The CT41 is really an incredible set of tools, IMO.

That showed up recently on Vic's US web site, but is listed as not available. Coming soon?

I doubt that. It was only available from the Victorinox X Editions e-boutique in the UK and only during a limited period of time (couple of months). It was also too expensive for what it actually is ;)

Early sixties I think, later the can opener switches to dog leg one, and in THIS dealer circular from 1963 both the claw and the dog leg can opener are listed, on different models though. The info from North Man says they switched the openers in '62 and patented it in '64.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

EDIT: leg, not bone.

A Wenger Fussballer, just in from Carlo in Italy, and a Wenger Serrated Century headed the other way. Thanks again Carlo.  :tu:

Also just in - a Swiss Army knife from the head of the Swiss Army.   :salute:

Thanks!  Overall it's in excellent condition.  Bit of rust on the file, but other than that no issues with it at all.  Now for the big question - will I use it?   ;)

I say you should give it a go and see how it works for you, but that's just me.  You may want to just clean it up real nice and stare at it on a shelf ;)

Looks great but is it BO or SS? I don't know why I cannot tell.  I like Vic MTs but LM for me with their OHO blades really tilt the scale for me.  I use my Swisstool still but not as much as when I first got it.  Bring it with you and see how it fits with your work chores.
