Lucky to find a NIB Teton recently retail for an old price. I like this SAK configuration and this Wenger's variant is almost perfection:

Any model name on this? Is this from the 50's or 60's? A Wenger Delmont that snaps like a 91mm Victorinox.

I suppose it's a model 712...

Snagged myself a Blackout 63.  To my mind this series is much more attractive than the Victorinox black ice range.  I love the stealth toothpick.   8)

Has anybody an idea about the number of this knife? Some old Wenger catalogs etc.?
It's about 97mm long (closed)

I'm sorry, I have no information on this knife but I think it's an old one (1916's to 1919's?) because of the bail and the stamp...

I have 2 knives very similar with carbon steel blades and Tenite handle, probably from the 1950s based on the stamp, but no more information about them...

That BSA is nice!  :tu:

I've got my eye on a few Wenger SAKs now. Won't be long before I pull the trigger on my first. I've never actually owned a wenger in all my years of owning various Voctorinox SAKs ever since the late 70s. I really like idea of getting an 84mm model like their Traveler.

Didn't I buy SI's off of you? O.o

You sure did! I guess I did own those two Wenger SIs for about a week before I sold them to you. They lived in their boxes for that week.

I can't remember ever owning one of their celidor models, although I'm sure there is a chance that I might have as a kid and did not realize it was Wenger. I always assumed Wenger was the 'cheaper' version of Victorinox when I was a kid. I'm now thinking about picking up a few different models mostly because of this thread.

I suppose I should have said I have never used (or remember using) a Wenger SAK.

Well, Alexei (+B Canada) still has some Wenger SI's for a fairly decent price. :)

OK, clearing the backlog a bit. :ahhh

The Ducks, Europa Star Series, Wenger Nature Series (needs some more info), Wenger Angler (3 and 4 layer models) created.

Identifier for left handed EVO14 added to both pages, added identifier and names to the Skier without file and Survivor with nail file. (I stopped here as I ran into the Survivors mess, we'll need more info here, maybe even split them up ? - Carlo, if you wanna take over that part, it's all yours. ;) )

As always, if you notice any errors or have further info, let me know.

Nikola,

Your new additions to the wiki are looking good.  :salute:

Did notice a couple of minor problems:

- In the Europas, when you click on the third photo (with the Victorinox), it enlarges the second photo.

- Angler (4 layer) The Related Knives write-up is a mix of the 3 and 4-layer Anglers.

No problems, I can edit the Survivor page.
I'm not quite sure about the use of the name "Angler" for the two knives listed, as this same name was also used for the "Troller" in same markets (UK for sure).
I actually have one "Troller" bought from the UK (with the fly lure imprint on the front scale) and the box clearly says "Angler".
I also think that the "Pecheur"/Fisherman name has more to do with the series name, rather than with single knives.

Does the Angler named Troller have the same identifiers as the ones listed in the wiki or a new one? Maybe add it under variations as "Troller with fly lure imprint was also sold as the Angler in some markets." with a picture of it next to it.

Under Related Knives for the Anglers and other similar knives maybe add:

The fish hook sharpening file was a feature on a number of Wenger fishing-related knives, including:

- Angler (3 layer) (scissors)
- Angler (4 layer) (scaler)
- Catch and Release (scissors & pliers)
- Troller (scissors & scaler)

-----

Carlo, Angler may be a series name, but until we can come up with better names for the Angler (3- & 4-layers), those names will work to identify the knives.

For the Nature Series might add:

The Nature Series use the same blades and tools as the 75mm knives, but are actually 69mm in length. The standard 75mm knives have a more rounded end with overlapping plastic handles.

The catalog number is the same.
The "Angler" name is just on a sticker applied on the box.
I think Heinnie Haynes was also selling a while back this knife (Troller with fly lure image) using the name "Angler".

Under Related Knives for the Anglers and other similar knives maybe add:

The fish hook sharpening file was a feature on a number of Wenger fishing-related knives, including:

- Angler (3 layer) (scissors)

Karl, agree about the utility to use the "Angler" name.
However, the official series name was "Pecheur" which translates into Fisherman.
I uploaded a while back on the wiki a picture of the model 1.03.05 with the fly lure.
I have two in my collection, one with the imprint and one without.

Marius, can I use this picture for the wiki page?

We don't have a picture of the basic model. The one we're currently using is a stock picture hotlinked to the wengerNA site.

I was already bidding on that one  >:D
So I guess that now the auction won't go unnoticed anymore  :-\
It is a "Young Fisherman" (16993) and can be seen on the latest Wenger catalog that Francis posted.
The only difference with the Sierra (old version) is (not considering the Backpacker inscription on the blade) that the old Sierra had only tweezers.
Young Fisherman, instead, has both T&T.
However, newer versions of the Sierra (with the imprint just "printed", not hot stamped) had plain balde (no inscriptions) and both toothpick and tweezers.
I'm planning to update the wiki with all these informations.
Just waiting an answer from forum member meanx, who has an old Sierra and uploaded a picture of it on the wiki gallery a while back.
