Another early multi-tool.....
on: July 10, 2013, 04:22:43 AM
Ran across this little gem the other day while cleaning out some of my old paint boxes.I used to keep this in my paint kit to open and close paint cans and the like. This one is unmarked but I have seen them made in Germany held in a small leather pouch. The handle is spring loaded and each of the tools has a small radius cut into them to lock them into place when open or closed.Hope you enjoy it.

That's a new one on me;looks to be identical to the one I have.I own several Spyderco knives including a SpyderCard which I carry in my wallet all the time(except when going thru airports or court houses). My favorite is a miniature Spyderco attached to a tie clip.I'll have to dig out a picture of that one.EDIT: Here it is next to another one.The background is 1" squares(2.54cm).

That is exactly what I thought of when I saw it- that even looks like a very similar tool complement to the Harp Tool, and appears to have the same scalloped shafts to "lock" the tools open.

I wonder if this specific model was the inspiration for the Harp?

It doesn't look very ergonomic to me. Interesting for collectors nevertheless.
