You shouldn't be allowed to work at Home Depot if you don't even know what a Leatherman is, let alone the general thought of a multi-tool. Just my opinion though.
That has happened to me a few times. If you have some time someday, go into HD and ask them to show you the sonic screwdrivers. They'll spend a half hour trying to locate them in the tool corral.DefSent from a digital multitool

Maybe we should do a test to see if Lowes or Home Depot hires worse employees. They are both pretty bad. I've rarely seen an employee at either Lowes or Home depot that knows more than I do about whatever I'm looking for. It has happened, some old timer working the electrical section or a contractor working part time in the tool crib, but they are few and far between. Usually it's a college kid who doesn't know the difference between Carbide and High speed steel.
Jersydevil, do you own a hardware store?
I fear it says something when you are knocking off your own tools. And it ain't good.
Quote from: scrappy on November 03, 2013, 12:42:26 AMJersydevil, do you own a hardware store? No, I run an independent paint store. Every single day we get at least one customer who has gotten frustrated trying to deal with someone in the paint department of a Lowes or Depot and comes to us half expecting the same sort of "advice" and customer service. I've been selling paint and painting supplies for over 10 years. I have a pretty good idea as to what I'm doing......
