Probably not for field carry. It's intended for one of my emergency bags anyway. I mostly bought it as a blade cover for storing a 510 in a pack/bag but it had the paracord on it and turns out, it's very light....feels lighter than my Farmer in a necker. The beauty (for me) in these kydex things is that they can also be tied/mounted to a pack/belt/bag handle for easy retrieval.

I already neck carry my Moras and some other 4" and less fixed blades.

I just did a short side by side test og the old and new 511 (sorry, no pics).
The new one does fit my hand a little better than the old. I have to grip the old one a little harder than the new one, wich makes the new one more comfortable for long term use.

Picking up a Mora Companion Heavy Duty coming Monday, really want a Outdoor 2000 as well, but I can only get the Orange and I'm not crazy about it.....
 8) I'm on a new high for these great knives.......and they suit the budget right now  :-\

My close up camera is on the fritz, but there is amazing detail on the sheath...can see fur on the animals...even individual hairs in the wolf's tail. The sheath is signed, "K. S. 55",
