Back on topic for a moment.  "New" I.XL all steel penknife.  Relatively thick steel covers/frame gives this a higher quality feel than the more common hollow covers you'd get on the likes of a Richards.  Not convinced there's any great difference in the blade quality though.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

How do you like the changes on that one?

I have the original Stretch that I like a lot .  The original one fits the hand well and I like the slightly different blade shape.  The Stretch 2 XL also feels good in the hand.  I would prefer the original blade shape (down the spine that is), but that's mostly for looks.  Both have a bit of a belly that I like, the original more so.  The XL is not that different than an Endura, really.  I subjectively prefer the original Stretch, but they all do pretty much the same thing.  The XL is a little more ergonomic (to me) than the Endura.  I recall Sal Glesser carrying the original Stretch back in the day.  I have moved toward serrated edges in the last few years.

Top to bottom:  Endura 4, original Stretch and Stretch 2 XL.  I added the polished clip on the XL.

:iagree: Looking good guys, nice line-up powernoodle :tu:

That makes sense.  Turns out it was just 2015 I was over there (I honestly would have guess a few years more than that).  Beautiful Country but also really quite wet.  ;)

I also like the original blade shape. Even if it is a looks thing. I think a good knife should work well and look good.

I scored a new RAT-II with Flytanium carbon scales, stainless screws and Ti clip for roughly the price of a standard RAT-II.
