Capt, as an EDC steel choice, how do you find the H1 holds up over time? Can you elaborate on your experience with it and why you like it?

I can but it won't be until tomorrow. I have been up for 24 hours and I'm in no shape to write anything cognitive. Not even sure if I used that word correctly.  :ahhh :)

Oh I have spent lots of time imagining it. Sadly it would probably never happen.

I'm crazy about the Atlantic Salt, but it's a bit pricey for me....

One thing to mention, the shop where buy most of my knives did a test, dropped one of these in a glass container full of salt water....
H1 might not rust, but the hardware will

How long ago was the test? I believe they treat their hardware now to make them very rust resistant. I could be wrong though.

This was more than 2 years ago and I was only told about it since I was living elsewhere, but they had it on display for several days I believe.

To be clear it was a promotional idea, not a test.
The result also didn't detract from me wanting some yellow in my life

Pop it in a glass of salsmurfer, captn and keep it overnight. If it rusts, we'll all chip in and get you another.

I would consider that if it was confirmed a new one would be purchased if rusted.

It shouldn't... at all. I've read from trustworthy sources that at least nowadays the hardware is H1 as well.

Not astonishing, but I appreciate them for what they are...working tools!

And they perform excellently on hard environments.

Since I discovered it, H1 is my go-to for demanding jobs.

It's so great for these dirty, rough tasks.
