I've about gone into the loony bin trying to figure out where my translucent orange Rambler went. By now I'm pretty sure I gifted it to another fine member of this esteemed board. But I still have this Rambler, and it ain't going anywhere.

As an aside, that photo was taken with a point-and-shoot camera that's about a dozen years old and edited with a program I very recently started using. Feedback on how well I did is most encouraged and extremely welcomed.

Only when you carry a 58mm in a keyring sheath like that, do you realize  the full potential of this little wonder. When unattached from keys, it turns into a great little versatile penknife for urban/suburban dwellers.

Very very similar. I made mine from a piece of scrap leather rom an old leather sofa on the way to the dump. A simple pouch sheath fits kind ofd snug so the classic is secure, and pulled out by the little split ring.

Carrying the classic this way frees it up for more unencumbered use.

Mine has the tongue cover that closes under.
Not easy to use but will really protect.
It's me, back with new phone after retiring.

Our friend Dan was trying to remember the model number of the one he showed in a photo.  That's why I posted the first one.  Best wishes.  G

If not, it's very close.

Swapped out the Minichamp on my keychain for a Rambler.  These are great knives!

I love the caplifter/Philips head tool.  I get that plus the t/t.  It's a winner to me!

I managed to get through three kids' toys with a Micra, but the Philips head left a lot to be desired. Vic's 3D Philips is great.

For ease of use for 58mm key chain SAKs, Nuphoria recommended the McGizmo clips to me.  That's what I've been using for ~13 years now.  The #2 size, IIRC.

Those clips are great!  I use a similar one I found at a fly-fishing store.  Easy on and off.

That’s so nice. Why can’t Victorinox make those?

They're exclusive to China aren't they? I think that's why so few show up here.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I thought this was a fun video showing the classic used in some unusual ways.  Some of them are pretty silly, but to me it embodies the spirit of carrying a SAK - creative use of tools for more than their stated purpose.  Or MacGyverism, if you will.

PS - no affiliation with this youtube channel, just happened upon it the other day.

Actually watching this video makes me want to do a Classic Challenge.  Is there a master thread somewhere of what months have challenges scheduled?  Would anyone be interested in doing a classic challenge (or the <74mm SAK challenge)?
