Nice! I assume the Lick Creek is the typical farmer's jack pattern

Yes, your farmers Jack is also called an English jack.

I know of more than one electrician back when I was young that carried one in their pocket, including my dad.

Yes. My guess is Queen market for that knife was farmers so they called it a Farmers Jack. Cutlery companies tend to call knives what ever they want. Like the Camillus 72 is called a Whittier. It's a Stockman pattern with Whittier blades. Stockman pattern is easier to make than a split back Whittier. It has whittler blades and that was their market for it. So Camillus called it a Whittier. This is a big can of worms so I'll leave there. On a side note the Camillus 72 is one of the most copied patterns ever made. It's a wonderful knife and a great EDC knife if ever there was one. 🤠
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

Thanks for taking the time to share this the information, buddy  :D
I am starting to pay attention to patterns outside of the three that I have primarily collected and assumed that the manufacturer's naming was gospel  :dunno:
But after yours and Steve's comments and reading threads in the knife forums I see that isn't necessarily true.

I've decided to replace my old yellow comp Stockman with a large cattleman's Jack.   It's a quarter inch shorter but definitely feels bigger.

The red liners threw me off. They use them for the denim micarta knives also.
