Then, that could be true, if it was bottled in 1995.

The age of whisky is determined by how long it stayed in the cask. After it's bottled the aging stops  :salute:

So this 12 year old can be bottled this year, last year, five years ago, or ten, it doesn't matter. Even if you open this bottle after 50 years, you'll still be drinking 12 year old Scotch  :D

Yes, but the original crop would be 1983 still.

That reminds me of an old joke...

A man walks into a bad, sits down and asks the bartender for a 12 year old scotch.  The bartender figures the guy wouldn't know much about scotch so he pours the guy a 2 year old scotch, figuring he won't know the difference.  The guy just looks at the color and says "come on, that's 2 year old Scotch, I asked for 12."

The bartender is a bit impressed, but figures anyone can tell the difference between 2 and 12 year old scotch, so he pours the guy a 5 year old scotch instead.  The guy almost gets it to his lips, smells the scotch and says "Ok, this is 5 year old scotch.  I asked for 12 year old scotch.  Do you have any or not?"

The bartender is impressed, but not convinced so he decides to try one more time with 10 year old scotch, and this time it actually makes it to the guy's lips and, after the tiniest of tastes the guy just looks at the bartender disapprovingly.  The bartender is now convinced and impressed, so he apologises and gives the man the 12 year old scotch on the house, which the man then drinks and enjoys.

An old drunk in the corner watches all of this and approaches the man, handing him a glass.  The man, already annoyed by the bartender tells him to go away, but the drunk persists, saying "come on, drink it!"  The man, figuring he won't get any peace to enjoy the scotch he has been waiting for until he indulges the drunk, takes a big gulp from the drunk's glass and immediately spits it out, yelling "That's urine!"

The drunk replies "I know, but how old am I?"

 :ahhh

What a thoughtful selection I have here. I have a use for every item.
Maxpedition organiser, Lucky charm, Spork, screwdriver pen, swiss card, sleeve for my LM PS4,Vic spare parts for modding including new scales for my compact, trauma dice (very relevant for my occupation), key ring with pill container. Super amazing, love it all.

VERY COOL GIFTS , TheDude!  8)

I thought you sent in Norway.

Mmhmm, Grathr got me, too, apparently.  Also, this is an awesome package; thank you, Gaute. :salute:

I got an awesome Marttiini folder and a thoughtful little card. :salute:  They almost didn't arrive, my father said the packaging was ripped entirely down one side, I'm surprised it actually made it.  :o

A big  to Grathr.

[Edit: This is the second half of my Christmas gift, according to the card; gotta love customs. :D]

Why, have you forgotten already? :D

A package from Canada was waiting for me when I got back from work tonight, from some fella called Defender Webandtool.

Had a big SOG box inside - and inside that a SOG Powerplay!

Came with a nice sheath and bit kit

Ace!  My second SOG - I had a Switch Plier for a while - and my first with the compound leverage pliers.  Looking forward to trying this out.

Thanks Grant, great present. :salute:

That's nice. Smaller cogwheels than I usually see on SOGs.
I don't get it though. Tools of one handle open on the outside and on the inside of the other?

Try not to read too much into the liquor store bag I used to wrap it.  I ran out of brown paper and just happened to have a big enough bag from the liquor store to wrap it....  :drink:

Anyways, I hope it treats you well!  I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.  It's no Spirit, but I think it's a decent tool in it's own right!  :D

Yep, inside tools on one handle, outside tools on the other.  Looks a bit odd, but nicer than the Wave/Rebar mutants that some here have been putting together.

Update. The comrade who sent the gift to slaughtermed is advised to come to the light, unless he wishes to remain anonymous (something impossible since when the list will be complete we will know him), in order to update the list.

Is it possible to get the updated list?  8) :tu:

<edit>  Not sure why?...but the name, gift sent, received list was in the QUOTE..... But not now   :D
