Every year I write some long thing that I'm sure few, if any of you read all the way through.  It's ok, I can be a bit long winded, I know that.  But, this year shouldn't be any different, and here's why:

We have been doing what we've been doing for eleven years now and I think we have been doing a bloody good job of whatever it is that we do.  Sure there are the multitool reviews, chat, collector info etc on the surface, but there's a lot more to Multitool.org than that- we have a real community going.

I've often said that a forum is all about the members and I firmly believe that- it isn't just the huggy feely "make people feel good so they come back" BS that many organizations spew, I actually mean it.

For example, I always recall a certain member who only ever had one post- in fact, the username this person used was "Onceandonly" and the only reason he or she registered was to say thanks to the other members of the site for some information or advice they had read.

One post, many years ago, and I remember it quite well.  We had all at the time suggested that we could easily change the username, and requested that the user come back and let us know what the advice or information was, how it was helpful and so on, but we never saw Onceandonly again- he or she had been true to their word.

To this day I sometimes think back to Onceandonly and I can't help but be glad that we were helpful to that person, even if it was indirectly.  It makes me wonder how many people over the years have had similar experiences but never took the time to say anything.

But, this situation backs up my claim that if you have ever made even a single post in the Multitool.org forum then you have contributed to this site, and you deserve to celebrate too- something that you have been a part of has survived eleven years, which is forever in Internet Time, and still going strong.

Happy anniversary everyone!

I have not been a member for that long but this is my favorite place on the internet! Started with a Google search for.. Something, then I ended up here again and again and started to look at all the challenges and the members awesome pics before I took the step and became a member my self. Looking forward to this month of festivities and more to come.

I am new here but I really like this forum and there is a lot of useful information in here, and I plan on staying here. Dont really post much but maybe I will in the future.

HAPPY 11 to you all!

It's really been a joy to lurk, read and learn from this place during the last half decade, and finally deciding to join in (what took me so long?   :think:)
This is definitely the friendliest, funniest and nicest forum I've been in, a pleasure of members, format and presentation, threads, valuable info...endless! I blame Kirky for that...  :D
It's my safe place on the Internet where I know I can share and talk without receiving bashing, stupid comments or just bad taste answers.
In this short time I've received hundreds of times more than I've given to this forum, and everybody has been a gentleman and someone I'd be glad to meet in real life. I thank you wholeheartedly and sincerely for that warm welcome and good vibes sent to me everyday!

I joined in 2013 which seems like a lot longer.  It's been a nice place to come and chat it up or just read.  I've had more fun in these years than I would have ever thought.  It's been great to see so many new members join in and become regulars in this place.

I joined this place may 2015, after I decided that it seemed like an awesome place to learn about SAK stuff, while my first SAK, a hiker, was on the way.
How naive I was.  ::)
I thought the hiker would be my end-all SAK.

Two years on, I still do not have a collection(well... 4 or so pointy things, plus parts), but the road for my perfect SAK to partner with a rambler or use alone has lead me to a bladeless woodsman, which I modded myself. I did not see that coming, and where will that same road take me in the future?

I found this place about three years ago.  I had been looking for an EDC belt pouch for my flashlight and Swisstool X Plus.  I just couldn't find a fit for me and didn't have the funds for a custom one.  Kept searching and kept searching and the more I looked the more times my journey brought me here.  Well finaly in May I pulled the trigger on a custom EDC pouch.  It's exactly what I had been looking for, for years.  It came in and as soon as I saw what a work of art it was I knew where to go and show it off.  Here at MTO. I knew it would be appreciated and I wouldn't be scoffed at for going over the top.  Signed up that very night and made my first post.  I've been hooked ever sence.  Now I just need you guys to keep up the great stuf with out being a bad influance on me.  I can't stop planning my next SAK aquisition.
Thanks to every one and hope to always be an uplifting part of this AWESOME Family.

I got here last year after I saw a BO Spirit S for sale online and wanted to find some info about it.
Came across other google results leading to MTO too while trying to find more background info on DAKs.
Then I thought "it all leads back to this" so as soon as I bought and picked up the Spirit, I joined later that day.
Still enjoy this place and all it's members who are here to help, comment, laugh and mess around.
Serious when needed, lot's of fun when possible.
I'm truely honored to be a small part of this place!

My only wish: to be able to meet some members in person :/ everyone is so far away...
