This pocket sheath was inspired by many I saw online.  I took an old leather purse and some paracord inner strands and came up with it.  I like it over all but its been needing some fine tuning.  I've acquired some synthetic sinew that I'll restitch the sheath with and make some other minor adjustments.  Over all tho the sheath is wonderful.  If I were to do it again I'd add a front pocket area for my Pocket Wrench 2.  Or some elastic or something to hold one extra item.

Thank you.  I really want to get another old purse for leather.  I've passed up on a few at the flea market.  Now that I've made this one ( last year some time ) I'm ready to try again.   It was a fun process with such limited tools.

I got tired of regular pens poking through my pockets or loosing my Fishers when I carry them.
So I started keeping a Fisher Trekker tied to my wallet. But I reciently changed wallets and there is no place for my pen.
The old issue of standing up and finding a pen in my boots became a problem again.

Solution:
Fresh out of the kitchen (seriously I just made it 5min ago), handcrafted  from a piece of recycled sofa....A leather pouch.
This is just the right size for either of my Fishers and a full size Bic

I made a sheath for my folding saw.
I used a piece of denim from a pair I shortened. Put a buckle on it, and a grab handle.
The buckle strap is adjustable, in case I get a longer saw. I put a rubber strap to hold the excess in place.
I decided against a belt loop. It would have looked better with one, but its back is not rigid enough to carry well on a belt.

I particularly like that the orange lanyard matches the orange thread the denim had on it.

Here's the belt loop system I came up with.
I sewed a denim piece on the back. It is sewn at its four corners, which allows a belt or strap to be fed through either horizontally or vertically.
Because it is sewn on, it cannot attach to a fixed strap, and requires a belt to be taken off in order to attach it.
To counter this, I also put a velcro belt loop on there. I can now feed the velcro strap through the denim loop, and quickly attach it to a strap or belt.

In the event that I just put it on my belt with the denim strap, I can store the velcro strap on the front flap, thanks to the buckle strap that runs the full length of the flap.

It ain't pretty. This is actually its worst side, but I had to show the belt loop. Which is a pull loop from the old boot I got the leather from.
The knife is a Green River blank with handle slabs from a black walnut branch, picked up on my land.

Here's my new pocket caddy and current EDC layout: Executive, Quattro, Space pen, Style PS and Nitecore Tube.

Not perfect, but I'm hoping that it'll look better after some use.
