How do you know I have an orange hand?

I just did a new sprinkle test...

SUCCES!

I once had orange hands from eating too much pumpkin and carrots for an entire winter  :ahhh

As I said, my sheath is excellent and Nix nailed it with the shape and fit,  :tu:
to the point where it can hang vertically all day in my belt and retain the 110 safely and securely  :salute:

something I've never been able to achieve with sheaths made of leather, only Kydex and hard plastic allowed that so far and this is a great surprise to me

Dunno why, but I often prefer carrying things handle-down (reversed carry) and this one allows for that without issues
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

^ That is very neat, did not realize it was  made with Kydex, as long as it doesn’t get very warm it will do the job for a long long time.
Having G10 panels even makes it that more perfect.

Mr. Nix sent you a perfect setup!

d'Oh no!  :ahhh  It's made with leather, Nix shaped it, treated it an stitched it, I was just comparing its retention to the Kydex sheaths I have from Cold Steel and others, which is excellent.  :tu:

but even if not Kydex, it's bound to last lots of years judging by the quality of its fit, materials and stitching  and no chances of losing this big boy

I keep looking at the new 110 auto with the upgraded blade steel and G10 scales. But, for me, $200 is just too much to spend on a knife.  But that 110 sure is sweet!!!

$200 is actually a pretty good price for what you're getting in that 110, but I understand $200 doesn't grow on trees. :ahhh
You all are making me go dig my 110 out again. :like:

I’m missing mine actually. I mean, it’s just upstairs, but I have been carrying my Vic Centurion as my SAKMC Unit. It’s a great tool but nothing I have really matches that 110 blade!

I just wish Buck would make an LT version with upgraded blade steel and automatic and with a pocket clip!  I’d carry that every day for sure!!

Now zrxoa1, your statement regarding blade steel is a tad confusing to me.

From want little I know about steels used for blades and what I know about the knives I own and balancing the prices I have paid, the Buck 420 BOS temper steel is as good or better than other higher priced knife blades AND even easier to touch up.
Then looking at price, my 110 cost $35 or less with Menards 11% rebate. And my 110 LT was under $30 shipped. Then my aluminum and 112 Ranger were in the$60 range, yet only a 1/3
Less than a Emerson CQC-7 with a chisel grind blade that was stolen from my work site.

S30V is available, but special skill set to maintain sharpness if dulled.

I didn’t know the S30V was harder to maintain. Well then, mix that part of the equation!

Haha

I’m about to order a 110 LT. Found one on eBay for $29.99 with free shipping.

Is the Buck 486 considered part of the 110 family?

I don’t think it is, but they come up sometimes in 110 searches. They do look nice!

It seems the 486 fills your needs. It is a drop point, yet 420HC Steel with pocket clip.

I do like my 110LT and included photos in my + contributions in the challenge.

Victim stabs one of the killers with a Buck 110!  I couldn’t get a better shot, but it is a 110!

Guess where I’m going tomorrow!!

Drats!!!  The LT will have to wait until tomorrow.

I backed over my mailbox this morning. Had to work on that.

Then the mailman brought me a nice gift... my like new second Gen Wave showed up. With the new style sheath!

Been oiling and working it as it is stiff.  Like I said, looks like it just came out of the box new!!!

Now it’s POURING out!!!  My truck has cracked plug boots and doesn’t run well in the rain. It goes in the shop Friday for new plugs, plug boots and a fuel filter.

I’ll try to get to Cabela’s tomorrow...

I already have a spare pocket clip I’m going to try to mount to its lanyard hole. Haha

We've been getting hammered with rain here too.   If I don't get my grass mowed soon it'll be more Woodsman time than 110 time!

Thank you, VICMAN!  Now if I can just get the package open!  They sure don’t make it easy. I prefer boxes over this clamshell stuff!  Haha

Hmmm, I bet my 110 Classic will make quick work of it!  My SAK is having a tough time cutting thru it all.
