I can’t believe how light this LT is!!!!

I had never paid attention before, but I do wish the LT has the same polished blade as the Classic.   I guess I’m just used to that.

You will appreciated the blade finish if you plan to use as a EDC.  It does not seem to get the same reaction as my brass 110 does when the blade is opened.
The LT besides being lighter it seems better suited to the back of the crowd, let’s get the work done mentality.

That is a pair of great enhancements.

Now all that left, is a slip of the blade for that first BITE, you will not feel a thing, until it hits bone;)

Ok, for those with the LT, is it normal to be hard to open?

Normal opening is not bad, but trying to open it one handed with the Kwik thumb stud is very rough. I cannot do it in one smooth stroke.  Feels very tight.

Normal?

You will need to locate the stud toward the nail knick to find the best leverage point for your grip.
Presently it is to close to the pivot, not enough leverage.

On my Bantams the stud placement can be difficult unless you slide your finger in the cut groove just right.

I’ve tried with the stud further out and my fingers, thumb, are too short.

I’ve watch the video for this knife that Gideonstactical does and he is able to flick it out like I do with my assisted Kershaw Whirlwind.

Maybe he has a super long thumb?  Haha. I placed my thumb stud in same spot he has his and same spot I have seen others do.

I think my thumb is just too short.

Can not help you with the thumb length.
My bantams are tight when new, and I add a light oil to the pivot and break it in.  I had to do the same with my Buck 110s to improve the lock back release.
I suspect that will be your only area of friction being tight.

You might try starting the blade to open by using your thumb on one side and index finger on the opposite side of the stud to push it enough to get it started...be very careful that your finger or thumb does not slip and get cut.

I’ve just come to terms with the fact that the thumb stud on any 110 simply does not work for me...

One of the reason I gave serious thought to the 110 Auto!

I pulled my 110LT from the sheath, held blade by the nick cut and caught the handle Engle against my leg, the blade opened without a problem. Then adjusted hands to the handle all with same hand.

Tested it with both right and left hand. No issues.  A OH110LT;)

Give that a try!

mine wouldn't open with a thumbstud in it, given its actual stiffness and tension.

I can't flick it open by grabbing it by the blade and pulling down the handle with an aggressive, quick and strong motion   :ahhh
I guess different knives have different tension as usually happens with all brands  :salute:

Happened to be at Wally world earlier today and the 110 folding hunter peg was

1) empty
2) had a price tag of 27 or 28 dollars
And
3 ) had a small frame around the price that said "new"

Given the price, and the "new", I presume they plan on stocking up on the 110 LT model. They just aren't in stock yet

I was at a Walmart in South Bend, their display had a peg, $34.88 was the price and two Buck 110s hanging with Leather Sheaths.

My local store had peg labeled with $38, Buck folder, but no product.

$35 for a new 110 with leather sheath is unheard of here. For that, we get a new 110 with the nylon sheath. Sounds like a good deal to me

I want a 110 LT ; it will become my fishing box knife.

Currently leave a Buck 286 Bantam in there but think I'd like a 110 rather.

I never thought to use a Buck 110 as tackle box knife, that is a lot of blade for fishing needs.

I have a couple different Rapala filet knifes in my box, and recently thinking to add a Mora Stainless 6” fix blade for general duty.

I do expect my 110 LT to serve well as a camp food prep knife complimented by a Mora HD Companion.  Just a reason to take multiple blades on adventures. But if restricted by weight/space, the only one I will take is a 110.

I'm still amazed at how adaptible the 110 is.  For a big knife, it'll do almost anything!
