That knife has been on my wish list for quite some time--except the first time I looked at getting into one I had a bad case of sticker shock.   At least Hubertus does have a four-blade "work knife" in their Professional range for about $40; except it does use "bird's eye" rivets which pop apart very easily.

I have another one by Herbertz, model no 258411, with the same implements as the Hubertus and a gutting blade added, for less than half the price of the Hubertus. The Hubertus is of a better build quality.

My Douk-Douk gets scary sharp!  Nice French carbon-steel. Reminds me of Opinel steel, really.

If you guys don't have a Douk-Douk, fix that. A classic knife worth it's carry weight.  :pok:

Have you tried opening that blade one handed and if so how easy is it?  I like having a one hand opening blade on me at all times and thought that one might be better than my more modern folders for those areas that are not so knife friendly.

I could easily open that blade utilizing the corner of my pants pocket/clothing/table top, but so far no luck with just using fingers alone.  The backspring is genuinely a lot stronger than 93mm SAK(pull force of 7 vs 5.5, 10 being welded shut), and the opening tab is too pointy to be finger friendly.  I live in a busy urban environment(definitely not knife friendly), and to avoid attracting the wrong kind of attention, I usually just use two hands to open my blade, regardless it has spyder hole or thumbstud.
