:like:  Great custom SAK!

And I like that Girl Scout Knife as well. Typically, all you see are ugly mint green celluloid, not that nice hunter green Delrin.

The Girl Scout knife was my first knife and it is from the 70s.  If by mint green you mean the middle knife, that was 80s.

I could easily open that blade utilizing the corner of my pants pocket/clothing/table top, but so far no luck with just using fingers alone.  The backspring is genuinely a lot stronger than 93mm SAK(pull force of 7 vs 5.5, 10 being welded shut), and the opening tab is too pointy to be finger friendly.  I live in a busy urban environment(definitely not knife friendly), and to avoid attracting the wrong kind of attention, I usually just use two hands to open my blade, regardless it has spyder hole or thumbstud.

Thanks for the info, I’ll have to keep that in mind.

My Case Sodbuster opens easily with one hand:

(Image removed from quote.)

I'm a big Buck 110 fan and open my 110's this way habitually.  Second nature now.  :tu:

That is cool, but the Sodbuster’s blade would be too long for some of the areas I travel frequently (3in limit).  But the Sodbuster Jr might work.  I also need one with either a strong detent or  back spring to avoid the “centrifugal opening” (flicking) that some LEOs interpret to be a gravity knife.

Thanks all for the nice comments about the new knife.

Holy crap! Is that what I think it is? It is!  :woohoo:

Yes, it definitely is. I was so excited to finally have it, especially after USPS lost it for a couple days.

Nice David  :like: :tu:

What do you think so far ?

I'm liking it very much. The oily creek bone is thicker than most covers and contoured so it fits my hand really well. F&F is good. Pull and snap opening and closing is good on this one. Over all I'm quite pleased with it.

We had four participants for the first ICC. I assigned each player a suit from a standard deck of cards:

01 - Pomsbz :  Hearts
02 - RF52 : Spades
03 - David : Diamonds
04 - Alan K. : Clubs

The deck was thoroughly shuffled and then cut.......

I was talking about the older Girl Scout knives from the 1950s. Like this.  Not my photo, not my knife.

Day 5: Got up in the mountain to check the fences. A few trees were down, some near the fences, but nothing damaged the fences. Was going to get them off, but I grabbed the Stihl MS250 in error. It one; is a PITA to start anyway; and the dealer may have messed it up. We have a 011AV as well, from the 1980s, and it has never given us a problem. I can start it without any issue, but the chain has been neglected and is dull. Guess the MS250 is off to the OTHER Stihl dealer, and I'll sharpen up the chain on the 011AV.

These are our only two working chainsaws; we have a couple Poulans that I know still work good, they just haven't been used--that and several McCullochs and Homelites that have not been used in several years; some do not run at all; in fact one was run over by Granddad's old Massey Ferguson track loader (we traded it in about 20 years ago, along with the tractor we had then on a Deere 5400); as well as an old Homelite with a metal body I found in a shed. Been meaning to get some of those working by robbing some of the others for parts. These ain't had any warranty since long before I was born, so I guess I can dive right in. With Granddad's help and informaiton found online, I might figure it out.
