Thanks! They’re super simple to make!

I take pork ribs, put them in my favorite marinade overnight. Then on the day, put them on a sheet of heavy duty tinfoil, slather them in sauce, wrap them in 3-4 layers of foil, sealed as well as possible. Indirect heat on the grill, top and bottom vents open but lid on, for 40-60 minutes, turning once halfway through. Then take the lid off, stoke the charcoal a bit, remove foil and char to perfection. Makes for super juicy, tender ribs that fall off the bone.

The longer you cook them in the foil, the more tender they will be. At the 2 hour point the ribs will no longer have structural integrity and will start to fall apart when you try to take the foil off to char them. (But they are still awesome)

It’s different on a gas grill, but not by much.

Charles.
Charles, you had me at pork ribs...

"Someone mentioned us yesterday..."
"But who brings a knife to a gun fight anyway?"
These troopers have forgotten they are the worst shooters in movie history, and each of the badasses in the Star Wars have a light chopper.

Inspired by pfrsantos post yesterday, I dug out my big kit which the Micron resides as a back up knife.  Thanks to you, it's been a while and I've totally forgotten to update all the meds and first aids stuff in this kit.  Gotta keep at it. :tu:

Interesting!  I was tempted by the Boker damascus corkscrew, but ended up getting a French one instead - not as pretty, but hand made!

Day 12

Postie has just called again. This time I use a Victorinox midnite mini-champ to open the package (an anti-can’t level). I’d forgotten how many blades/tools this thing has since it has been replaced by a SwissCard lite in my EDC. I really must give it more use in future!

I recently replaced mine with the Pocket Tooolchest from Wenger due to being a bit longer, a lot slimmer, and a far more sensible toolset.  While my main critcism of the tool is that I felt that in its origin, it was just to make use of tools intended for the pharmaceutical industry--I use all of them! The safety band cutter I use as intended as well as opening packaging. The Tracheotomy/Emergency Blade is the blade I find myself using the most, and the pill counter works great as a steel thumbnail/knife pick/light duty pry tool.

A very special pair of Ramblers that reside on my wife and my keychains.
Such a cool backstory and the picture to go with the knives!

The Kershaw Natrix XL is based on the ZT 0700.
While I'm not fond of flippers,I tolerate them,I abhorr deep carry clips and haven't changed it out yet. That's s probably because I don't carry the Natrix much, but I quite like it

I think the ZT/Kershaw setup is smart, sometimes designer ZT knives would trickle down to mass production Kershaw line, and making it more widely available and less expensive to try.  One could always pick up a less expensive option in Kershaw to try out, and decide to upgrade to more expensive version in ZT if that's their thing.

Teutonic Fuzz Day 12

Another one of my old man's fixies. This one's a Black Forest Hunting Knife from the 50s and was a real superstar of my childhood. I knew where it was kept, but didn't let on to my folks, and at any available opportunity I'd sneak it out for an adventure. It was like a sword on my belt...  :duel:

Day 12: The pride of my collection, my birth year SAK.  Bought off the bay from a german seller (really have to go across the pond to get a real soldier).
Couldn't believe I could find one with such good wood fiber scales.
