Who doesn't like the Sodbuster Jr. ? Solid little knife  ;)
Apart from the looks I like the grip and feel on these bone handles a lot...

:agree: The Sodbuster Jr is an awesome little knife
Paleo-Fuzz Day 11

Neolithic arrowhead/small knife found in Kentucky... Unfortunately, that's as much provenance as I've got on this little beauty. Immensely pocketable, but normally resides safely tucked away in acid free tissue. Oh, and it could be as much as 12,000 years old.

Day 11

A very special pair of Ramblers that reside on my wife and my keychains.

When my wife and I finally decide to get married, it was still illegal in the state that we lived in, so we had to drive about 3 hours to a small County Courthouse in the next state.  Knowing how traffic can be and not wanting to be late for our own wedding we left real early.  Once we were close and knew we had time, we stopped at a little park and took some pictures.  I sent in one of the pictures from that day to Originals by Pierce & Co to have scrimshawed onto SAK 58mm scales.  All they had was Classics, so I sent in a pair of Ramblers and they put them on them.

Day11
ColdSteel Bushman
This was my 1st ColdSteel back in 2001 and came with the old Proof vhs.  This was a favorite camping hunting knife for several years and my only complaint it's the lack of retention on this style of sheath. I'm contemplating getting the new model with the updated sheath.

I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.
But for now I'm just a lost jack of trades with neither mastery nor home. ~NoaIsumi

Day 7: CH3511-G10 (blue)

I bought this knife specifically for this challenge. I didn't need another knife... but hey, what better excuse? It cost me $28 on Amazon, and holy crap is it worth every penny. The knife came razor sharp. I don't mean, it can kinda sorta cut hairs on your arm, I mean one swipe and my arm was as bare as if i'd used my shaving razor. I've bought a bunch of knives and multitools, and I've never had one come this sharp from the factory before. Someone really took the care and effort to but an exceptional edge on this knife.

I've never owned a knife with a ball bearing pivot before. I didn't even know that was a thing. I like it a lot so far, it's got really smooth action and there's zero play in the blade. Lockup is strong, and the knife feels really good in my hand. It's HEAVY. The non-liner lock metal scale is machined out to make it a little lighter, but the blade is very thick and there's just a lot of metal involved here. Which to me is a good thing. It still disappears into my pocket with a nice deep carry clip. The G10 scales feel really good in my hands and the colors are vibrant and cool. The orange and blue reminds of of bowling shoes or the ford pinto from Wayne's World. In good, nostalgic ways. It's a nice big knife, larger than any folder I have to date, and yet the bright colors make it less scary to people. I broke it out to cut up food at a restaurant that only supplied plasticware (stupid corona), and nobody at my table batted an eye -- even the girls that didn't know I was into knives and multitools.

Today this bad boy helped me open an amazon package and a it cut up the ribs I grilled for dinner.

Charles.

Day 11. Camillus 99 Camper in Cabone (Celluloid Acetate bone?). Dealing with a mess of a knot today trying to fix a pole pruner's pull handle, I tried using every single tool but the blade. Sharpened awls are NOT good marlinspikes!  Finally, I went home and got the rigging knife, and it got fixed.  I also did a lot of cutting with the blade.

Nice Cami.  I’ve found sharpened awls can be dangerous when attempting to use as marlin spikes, so good for getting the right tool.

Cool knife.  I really like ball-bearing pivots, they do make for a smooth opening.

CC -- great lookin' ribs. I've got a plan for some ribs a bit later this month......

Thanks! They’re super simple to make!

I take pork ribs, put them in my favorite marinade overnight. Then on the day, put them on a sheet of heavy duty tinfoil, slather them in sauce, wrap them in 3-4 layers of foil, sealed as well as possible. Indirect heat on the grill, top and bottom vents open but lid on, for 40-60 minutes, turning once halfway through. Then take the lid off, stoke the charcoal a bit, remove foil and char to perfection. Makes for super juicy, tender ribs that fall off the bone.

The longer you cook them in the foil, the more tender they will be. At the 2 hour point the ribs will no longer have structural integrity and will start to fall apart when you try to take the foil off to char them. (But they are still awesome)

It’s different on a gas grill, but not by much.

Charles.
