Day 16: Seen a lot of interesting traditional folders, SAKs, fixed blades and MTs the last two weeks.  Not sure I've seen any utility knives.

Top to bottom:

Stanley non-retractable utility knife
Sears retractable utility knife
Box cutter from my grocery job in the late 80s
Utility knife in the wallpaper knife design
Wallpaper knife
Scraper (ok not technically a knife, but those heavy duty single edge razor blades are sharp)

Day 16:

With the threat from the Wildfires abated, I took my bug-out bag back down to the basement. I thought for today's challenge post I'd use a picture of the knives in the Bug-out bag. Solid choices, I feel, but I'd love to hear some criticism or feedback. What knives, saws, or axes are in your Bug-out Bag (if you have one)?

(Image removed from quote.)
NWA fixed blade, Victorinox Fieldmaster, Leatherman Charge AL
Looks like you are well covered there :tu:
The fixie looks like a great knife :like: what steel is it?
Depending on where you are bugging out, maybe add a Bahco laplander or similar folding saw?

Fuzz on Show Day 16

It's just a little knife and not particularly well made, but it's one of my most treasured possessions. Brought back from Hungary, it was gifted to me by a friend I had a thing with years and years ago who was the most mental free-spirited genuinely interesting person I've ever met. She looked like a young Mia Farrow, travelled the world (alone!) before she was even twenty and was as mad as a box of hammers. She was brilliant.

I've been thinking about snagging this for a long time, but the price is just a bit higher than I want to pay for an unknown quality tool.

 Day 16

Amazon delivery, so I thought I’d use the Victorinox Rescue Tool to free some new purchases- a Pioneer X and an Explorer, both destined for the mod box for future projects..... the prices were right!

Great idea. I have a couple of folding saws. I think one was in the Bug-out Bag at one point, but weight, space, and anticipated need resulted in the saw being taken out.

As it is, I have to question the inclusion of the fixie.....  :dunno:

(Oh, I think it is O-1 tool steel.)

Modified 119.
That's cool!  I've never seen the pommel modified like that on a 119.

Today I put my Trekker in my front pocket and was torn between a Handyman or my Swiss Champ in my back pocket.   I thought...  "I really don't need a magnifying glass and I'll already have the Phillips covered", so I carried the Handyman.   Later into my workday, I was trying to read fine print from just the right distance on some electronic equipment I thought "I really need to get bifocals"   Then I realized the error in my judgement when starting my day.   ;)

Day 16
Getting a well earned day off tomorrow, so I'm enjoying the rest of this evening and my Leatherman Rebar volunteered to help.   Tomorrow I hope the weather holds for some fly fishing and some dual sport riding.

If you get one of those be sure to report back about how good it is.  I've used this one for almost two decades, and can't recommend it enough.  If you can find one - grab it.

I've got a tiny version of the same knife, which is branded for Craftsman. It's also really good. Nice sheath with  that Blue Point version! I've seen people try to sell that sheath alone here locally for $10-15.

Awesome day 16 and challenge so far everyone.  :hatsoff:

Day 17.
These two knives ( the red handled one in particular) represent my beginning in knives. I was given one like it when I was quite young. I ran around pretending I was every character on tv or movie that wore a knife. Not a very auspicious beginning I know, but they represent a fun time.
