Day 29 - Today I built a shelf for all of my pipe tobacco stuff out of an old pallet.  The OC helped quite a bit along the way.  Pictured below is the final product all loaded up and on display.  It was a fun little project!

Excellent work! :like: :like:

Day 30

Just junk mail opening duty for the OC Pioneer so far today.... But it is day 30! Which badge are we going for with this challenge?

Hopefully there’ll be more exciting uses later....

Day 30 already!!  This was a great challenge and a chance to finally put my BYSAK to work.  It's almost a shame to stash them away, as they're completely capable multitools.  Thanks for a fun month G Diz!

Day 30 Bonus Pic

Postie has just called again  :mail: seems he forgot this package earlier which the OC Pioneer’s awlsome awl opened in no time: a new (to me!) BYSAK a Victorinox Soldier 1965 with silver scales. :woohoo:

Day 30

First of all, thank you to G-Dizzle for the 30 days.  I have really enjoyed using some underused OCs and seeing all of yours in use.   In memory of the last 30 days, I got them together for a final group shot.

   Take good care.

Thanks for getting this going and thanks everyone for showing off those nice OC's!  As a side note, seeing those sexy Voyageurs has led me to decide to try my first mod.  It won't quite be a Voyageur, I'm going to try to make something like an 84 mm golfer, a "compact" compact.

No uses yet, I'm just in for a quick lunch break.  Hopefully I'll come up with something while I'm out working, if not I'll take a glamour shot later.

My favorite thing to build is Voyageurs and Voyageur-alikes.  Here's one I carry daily.  It's a Voyageur with nail tool substituted for combo-tool.

Day 30 - the OC Pioneer is at work using the awl to drill through a mud guard in my RV so I can mount a wire hanger on the back side of the mud guard. The O.C. Pioneer has served me well and will keep a place in my EDC rotation!

Cheers!

We stayed in the hotel at the brewery. It was an amazing experience. Recommend it if you ever get the chance.

I was fortunate to live in Germany for six years. One would be hard-pressed to find a spot that doesn’t have a superb brewery within a dozen kilometers.

For my money the Kreuzberger Kloster Dunkel is the best beer on the planet. Unfortunately, I don’t think it can be found anywhere other than the monastery itself.

On the badge topic, I think an OC badge would be great!

That would not be the monastery in Prague, CZ would it? We visited there as well.

The monastery is near Kreuzberg, in Bavaria (Germany).

I see. How many monasteries in Bavaria brew beer? Also, how often do Bavarians really eat the traditional food? It was one of our favorite things about our visit. We have been searching for Potato Dumplings stateside ever since we got back.

I’d have to defer to our German members on the question of daily diets, but I will say one advantage of living near a military installation is relatively easy access to traditional German foods.
