Day 28 and some lunch.

Also, a reminder to all the Old Cross devotees on this challenge to kick a few bucks into the MTO pot for the month of October.  :)

Very nice @HolyDeuce!   I have a brass Zippo that I've owned for about 30 years.  It's been factory serviced by Zippo twice over the years but the last time it died I placed it as an offering at my Tom Petty shrine.

Myron, that is awesome!  I love zippo lighters and have ever since I was a kid.  They are really the only thing I collect other than SAKs.  The only solid brass zippo I have is in that pic I posted, and as you can see it was made this year.  I believe the oldest in my collection was made in 1957.
Once you go SAK, you'll never go back.

Today the OC is hanging with the G-Shock.

Been busy packing up my father in law's house to sell.  Day 28 saw more main blade action for the Class of '67!

Day 28:  This Technician got carried today. It didn’t have to perform any tasks, but it brought me joy.

One of my all time favorite SAKs!   I have two, both with Elinox blades.   :)

Ha!  So true.  If you are a TP fan, Alan, and are ever in my neck of the woods, stop in for a visit and leave an offering.  :)
I've been a Tom Petty fan for decades. You know he was a native Floridian, but he don't come around here no more.

Day 28 - the remnants of Hurricane Zeta are providing us with a real drenching of rain today. The OC Pioneer is at work with me awaiting it's first assignment for the day.

Cheers!

Nice work and nicer knives, everyone!

Day 29

The kettle decided it didn’t want to work, so I tested the socket, that was fine, next used the awlsome awl on my OC Pioneer to swap out the fuse, but still no dice..... looks like it’ll be a new kettle, then. Funny how things seem to die faster these days, as the toaster next to it has been with me since 1993 and hasn’t missed a beat despite being shipped round the globe and subjected to dodgy wiring in various places. Either that  or I’m just getting old!

Stay safe knife coop.  It's a rainy day here too.  We're doing some inside jobs today for Day 29(!?!).

Day 29: I quit smoking years ago, but I still feel the nicotine urge every once in a while. The foil packs nicotine gum comes in are infuriating to open...unless one happens to have an appropriate tool at the ready.

Day 29 - Today I built a shelf for all of my pipe tobacco stuff out of an old pallet.  The OC helped quite a bit along the way.  Pictured below is the final product all loaded up and on display.  It was a fun little project!
