Was scanning aliexpress for any new Chinese multitools that struck my fancy.  (They really have improved, you can get some great tools stuff for $20-$30.  Not better than Leatherman, but also not 4x or 5x worse than Leatherman as price would suggest.  Comparable quality to some SOG and Gerbers...  >:()

Anyways, came across this image on a listing for a Nextool-like multitool, which is actually a great tool!

I'll wait for prices to drop a bit.  (Keep in mind MSRP for a piece of smurf like the SOG Power Access Deluxe is $80, down from over $100.)

Some more hilarity in the description of that first new tool (it looks larger than the Nextool mini, but I wouldn't have guessed by how much).

The blade and plier head are almost certainly exactly the same as the Nextool Flagship Pro (which is a wonderful multitool).  That is what makes me think this is probably a pretty sweet tool.  A bunch of these multitools all come from the same factory and are actually pretty good, under different names.  I've ordered a bunch from AliExpress and are happy with most of them.  Chinese multitools have come a long way.

I ordered one as well.  Also ordered the wave knockoff in the original post, and a backup nextool flagship pro (because I need 2 of everything or more, it's a sickness!)

I really like it. It is well made, everything snaps into place, the blade is nicely sharpened, the file works, the scissors are excellent.
I have not tried the openers yet. They seem to be ok.

No more in stock. :facepalm: Will wait and get more.

I was thinking about that Wave knock-off, but no seller had reasonably quick and cheap shipping. It was either waiting two months with no tracking, or paying twice what the tool costs for DHL shipping.

The Mini is more expensive than the medium one. :think:


My Mini came with a shark OPT, but that was supposed to be a gift. Didn't take a picture of it. I'll take a family photo tomorrow.

It did not even survive one week of no use. The little back-spring for the scissors handle just popped off as I was opening the handle. I cannot believe it is already broken. And now to go through customer service. And I have a second one coming.  :facepalm:

That's a bummer... I didn't read everything and ordered one as well....  :facepalm: So how was your talk with the customer service RP?
