It was a relaxing afternoon until the whirlwind, that is Mrs Surge, descended upon the household  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Apparently, there had been much gesticulation and use of colourful expletives (Italian thing  ::) ) whilst at work.

This is in no way unusual and all was normal after I'd furnished "herself" with a glass, or several, of Prosecco

 :drink: :drink: :drink:

Day 15

Today the hero of the day was the MP600
It helped me to tighten the screw on the handle of wife's favorite frying pan!

(Double bonus! I also found in the bottom of one kitchen drawer her Vic Signature)

After all, I and MP600 took some time to apreciate a espresso.

Later a storm caused a one hour blackout.
The Maglite was used in the candle mode.

Hello day 15 .
Package opening time but unfortunately not a very exciting  package unless you like doing concrete trials.  Busy doing some work on more enviro friendly cement products. A day of donkey work but interesting enough.

Hope you and Wavey didn't suffer too much Paul  :tu:

Day 16:
Fiat-Allis money clip helping to wiggle car keys, changing  additional steering lock key to be precise

Lock came with the car many many moons ago, well actually two came with the car, one with metal and one with some plastic coating. Never used the 1st one, now changed to 2nd since the 1st is starting to interest the dog - don’t want him to bite metal. Don’t think I’ll ever use this one either. One just belongs into the front passenger footwell ;)

Day 16

Some spices arrived today for another steak dish tomorrow, and the bailout was barely able to cut open the box--I know quick sharpening session is in order.  I think the Bailout is sharpen originally at 19 deg per side, so some quick touchup on sharpmaker, medium stone and strop is sufficient.

Definitely. This BAK has the most assertive can opener I've used. I would say it is overkill.....unless opening a 55-gal drum is required......

But I guess they didn't want any thing to get between a 'Tommy' and his or her tea.......  :dunno:

:D
Say you don't happen to see a 55 gal drum nearby, do you? >:D :pok:

Happy wife, happy life.
Absolutely! :D

Day 15
Today was mainly a Spirit day.  Used the spirit to get some tags off a couple new clothing items before washing.  I used the Spirit to cut a cantaloupe.  Do to the curve on the serrated blade, that couldn’t be used for the intial cutting open, but decided to try on cutting into smaller pieces.  A nice pull cut through the rind effortlessly.  There was also opening the day 3 beer
(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
Good use!  It's interesting cantaloupe is available year round in any supermarket and it's not expensive, but some body did once tell me it is a delicacy in Japan where you could only buy when you visit someone's sick in the hospital(as a luxury gift).

Day 16

Had to use the Tinker scissors and my tweezers.
(Image removed from quote.)

And I made a new hole in my belt!
(Image removed from quote.)
That awesome!  :tu:

A couple of days ago I dusted off my lansy sharpening system to sharpen the minipry and since it was around I also sharpened another knife -to be seen on the Batman challenge.
To tighten the clamp on the knives I used the double sided bit I carry on my keyholder and the leatherman carabiner on the wallet lanyard.

I'm carrying it this month of course, but otherwise I don't always carry a full sized multitool. However I always carry my keys and wallet so this little piece keeps me covered on the screw-driving department even when I'm going lightweight.

I learned that trick just this year, and I mean who would avoid pull tab so much so to flip the can over?  Maybe that's why Mrs. always roll her eyes whenever I'm in the kitchen... ::) :D

Today I've used the Executives orange peeler again to open a letter  :mail:

EDC 16:

A good start to the day. I hit the Organic foods store to stock up on spices, rice, veggies, and, of course, some awesome chocolate..... But back to the challenge: the Sig Lite got employed in filling out the label for the bulk food items. With Coronavirus on the rampage, I much prefer to use the 58mm's pen as opposed to the pens the store provides. Just one less point of contact. (and, yes, the scoop is cleaned between uses..... and the jar is cleaned between customers..... maybe it has awl gone a bit far......  :dunno:)

Later, a pound of pinto beans got liberated from its polymer entombment . The beans will be soaked overnight and cooked tomorrow.  Why?  Why, to accompany tomorrow's chili!   :ahhh  (Made chili paste today as well......ooooooooh la la!)
