Here are 4 pictures of the slide lock mechanism for anyone who has wondered what it looks like. They were taken by enki_ck in 2013 and they were posted in this thread

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,47819.0.html

I did give some thoughts about that lock, and though I do use the slide lock nearly enough to ever get to the point of failure, I can't help but to think how well will that spring last in a daily EDC situation?  It kinda reminded me of the axis lock in Benchmade, it's pretty solid until the omega spring failed.

If the spring broke the knife is still functional as a regular slip joint knife. The back spring will still hold the blade open.

That spring is actually pretty durable

Day 18

Last day for the Rucksack -  Putting up some street numbers on the garage.  With all the deliveries these days, it is helpful to have lots of home identification.

This Braves scale showed up on a Vagabond on eBay!  Must be a scale swap because I thought these only came on Classics, but I'm VERY happy to have it on a Vagabond.

Same here, plus the small blade (or awl if no small blade is available). I guess you should look into getting a Hercules  ;)

Maybe. Had a workchamp once which is a little bit bigger than a Hercules. But I prefer the 91 mm line or the spirit.

Excellent Barry, letter opening here with the belt cutting tool. It is actually an excellent letter opener.

I imagine it's just ideal for opening the RAF Emergency Aircraft Insurance Claim form packet which must be included in the Emergency Kit as you're floating down under your 'chute whilst your aircraft goes down in the distance?
