Day 25
Unscrewed a face plate in my garage.
Later I tried to pry out a heavy-duty staple. I might have gotten it out with a 93 mm opener, but this one wasn’t doing the trick. (And there’s no way I could risk breaking the bottle opener!). I gave up and got some help.

Day 24: Cutting open the monthly supply of softener salt.  Just like Vic, the Pocket Rocket blades are some of the sharpest out there.

Day 25:

Junior 09. The first "Victorinox that is technically a Wenger" that I owned. Bought it about 5 years ago when Amazon had it on sale. I bought it as at the time the Walker had not yet been released, and I wanted the slimmest and smallest SAK that I could find, and well it really isn't due to being an EVO.

I hope Victorinox gets their head screwed on right and rereleases the Alox Lumberjack. That would be my perfect light farm work carry.

I really like that LL Bean knife. I've got a weakness for Bean branded stuff.
I have a Victorinox Spartan with L.L. Bean branding. I'll do my best to get a photo of it for the upcoming Spartan Saturday.

I used the cork screw to open the bottom of a Zippo so I could add fluid.
I can see the corkscrew being really handy for that purpose. That felt pad can be a pain to lift sometimes!

Day 25

Found a bottle of beer in the fridge!  :woohoo:

Hope you feel better, GF.  :tu:

Alan & GADad -- I also see redundant photos in some posts. It does seem odd. I always assume it was the way the photos were uploaded & posted. But I really have no idea.....

Anybody know why I am all of a sudden seeing two of almost every picture,,, including the ones I post?

Not sure what’s going on with the settings but it’s the same with me.
Seems like attachments are now posted with the text (without having to link externally).

DAY 25 (again)

Looks like I copied the wrong link and didn't notice until this morning.

The Junior 09 is aimed at kids, but I got it as an adult, as at the time, if I recall, the Walker (aka Lumberjack reissue) had not yet been reproduced. I wanted a slim and light SAK with the saw, but at the time, I didn't understand how much thickness Evolution scales added. I finally bought a Walker/Lumberjack around the time it came out.

Victorinox really needs to get their heads screwed on right and instead of the big thing this year being a huge amount of Classic SD variants, reissue the Alox Lumberjack!

Back with the Evo17 today.  Opened some post and trimmed my fingernails...but no-one wants a photo of that.  :D

Nice pics y’awl!

Day 26

Used the Evo23 to open the new Alpkit catalogue/magazine after a walk out along the Basingstoke canal where I spotted a pair of kingfishers - not seen a pair for many a year! Apologies for the rubbish quality of the pic but I only had an iPhone on me and the 50megapixel 600mm f4 Victorinox has yet to be made!

DAY 25 (again)

Looks like I copied the wrong link and didn't notice until this morning.
I wondered about that.  I examined the young lady in the photo in the other link very closely and did not see a Delemont SAK anywhere.  I checked twice!
