The Daredevil crew is celebrating also, but not for the reason you guys are  :ahhh
Of course, some of us are about to start the SAK-alike challenge, which may be another month of mild discomfort and dissatisfaction. Hmmm... I am starting to wish that I owned a Swiss Champ instead of a Coast Handyman Tool Kit:

Day 30 of 60:

So here we are at the half-way mark and I'm still enjoying the Swiss Champ. 99% of the time I've been carrying it in my pocket, suspended from a belt dangler. It has spent a small amount of time in a belt pouch. At this point, I'm just used to it being in my pocket.

Today I took the recyclables to the collection center. The fish scaler really comes in handy for breaking down boxes. The teeth rip through tape and cardboard pretty easily. Tape residue ends up on the scaler, not a blade.

(Image removed from quote.)

In addition, the scaler made for a nice 'saw' to cut up some big chunky styrofoam packing material. ( Why are we still using styrofoam?  )

(Image removed from quote.)

Not super precise, but quick and handy.

Another day where the S'champ proves to be a happy companion. Oh, the tape residue cleaned right off with a few drops of Ballistol.   :)

Day 30/60

Had to change a waterfilter cartridge. The case is new as the old one broke. Brita, the manufacturer, did a redesign of their proprietary cartridges. I normally buy no names. So every time I have to change there's the need to modify the cartridges outlet.

The pliers are used to grab and remove some plastic from the outlet.

Thx McStitchy.

The pliers are the tool for that job. Not much space there, no use for a full size mulitiool. That Swisschamp is a small piece of gear, but I'm again and again amazed about its endless possibilities.

Day 31 of 60:

Our air quality this morning was listed as being "Good", but the forecast is for more smoke. I made a quick hike up a local hill, more to stretch my legs than anything else. The haze was already starting to settle in......

Still, a nice morning hike in mild temps and a gentle sun.

Day 28

Used the small blade to open some packages for the wife. The awl and the large flat driver teamed up to replace a flint in the old fusil. Also used the large driver to disassemble for cleaning. She's all ready for some hunting next month.
Does that fusil have the lock on the left side? At first I thought the image was reversed, but the SwissChamp isn't

The S'champ always feels like a big knife to use to open a little parcel, but there is no arguing with its utility.   :D

Day 31

Just chilling with the SC tonight.

The 30 days flew by so quickly - seems a shame not to push on for the 60. It is the go BIG challenge, so no going home just yet! :salute:

Beautiful gun!

Thanks.

Good eye! It is indeed a left handed flintlock. I am a righty but left eye dominant. So I am lucky to be able to shoot from either shoulder. Left feels most natural. Not a big deal with modern long guns or even caplocks, but a wrong handed flintlock can really light up your life.
