Day 28:

Fixed a neck lanyard to my compass, a 1986 Stocker-Yale. Replaced the "not quite always accurate" Walmart compass everyone had in Scouts during a huge bender of stuff I bought when a local surplus store moved 5 years ago and was blowing out their leftovers at 50% off (I paid around $30). An instructor at camp years ago bought a whole case of those compasses from Walmart, and found 3/4 of them pointed south when they should have been pointing north.

The sighting shot lens arm is slightly bent, and I'm unsure how to fix it. Guessing years ago, it was probably turned back in for this reason.  I don't know if Cammenga would send me this bit. Due to the tritium, I'm sure I simply can't just mail it off for them to refurbish; despite it having decomposed sometime before I was born.

I made toasted cheese sammies for supper. Used the 110 to pull the hot rack out of the toaster and then to cut the sandwiches in half. :drool:
