Day 25

Here’s todays carry with heavy brass accents , I think I’ve got Write , light and slice covered. The round thing is a haptic magnetic fidget slider I got to help keep my hands busy while giving up smoking. The pheasant Hank is something I often carry with my 110 mainly because I love pheasants and I love eating them too 😂 just a shame this challenge takes place in the close season otherwise my pics would be a whole lot different as the 110 is my go to knife for dressing them.

Day 25: opened a new flashlight.




The iXV is a new model, designed to both commerate Olight's 15th Anniversary and as an upgrade to the i1R. Coincidentally, through Olight "just pay shipping" promos, I've ended up with the original i1R, the i1R 2 in 2 or 3 different colors, and now the iXV. The original is still going strong, but I decided to go with the i1R2 about a year ago due to better runtime.

Problem is that it's considerably thicker and about a quarter-inch longer than the i1R/i1R2, so it's better as a pocket flashlight instead of a keychain flashlight. It's actually close to an i3EOS in size.  Figure it's perfect for lightweight shorts or fifth pocket carry. Same basic settings as my i3T, but less weight and size.




Oh, and USB-C rechargeable as well. As stuff gets replaced, fewer and fewer electronics have Micro USB ports, and more and more have USB-C ports, so I can just use the same plugin I use for my phone.

I got my Titanium and Aluminium ones in last week, enjoying them so far.

This isn't really a new design though, this is more of a reskinned i1r Pro, which has more of a stippled texture and comes in colours like the i1r 2 does, that was when they introduced the USB c keychain.

Gotta agree though, my original i1r is still on my keys, the size creep each generation is real.
