My carry Explorer also has Emerald plus scales from fleabay. Think like $15.

Explorer and Emerald just seemed a good choice.

you should get a pair

Day 9

Got in a package today, that required opening with something not so sharp. I went with the awl on my FX. Inside was an early Fathers Day present, a new Warbonnet underquilt for my hammock. If the the weather holds out, I’ll be camping with it in ten days.

DAY 10  No uses today.  I went the funeral of a friend's wife this morning, and we're going to get another afternoon of ripping thunderstorms.  The weather man says one more day after today... ::)

Huntsman with a Fireant and tinder, mini light, GITD disc, and some cord, bank link, and wick.

DAY 10

It sure is a warm one today so as little outside as one can. Looks warm like this for the next week too.
This is a typical weather pattern but a little higher temps than normal. Our hot early June's here draws up the moisture from the Baja to fuel our Summer monsoons. We sure could use the water.

I used the main blade for some food prep again and the scissors to trim some fray up I noticed.

Thanks, guys.  They're not a young couple, but it hurts to see him grieving.  That and I doubt he'll be around long now that the love of his life is gone. :(  That said, the two of them have lived a heck of a life.  :salute:

We're supposed to get a break come Monday.  We had ducks swimming in the swales in our neighborhood this morning.

Thanks guys for the scale complements.

Day 10
Smokey helped with the morning coffee.

The saw cut a few larger twigs.  Then I used the FireFly with saw as striker to light some helix tinder

Day 17

Sounds like it's been rough awl around for a bunch of people lately. Good luck and sympathy in whatever measure everyone needs it.

Used the small blade to open an ice bag today. Someday I'll remember to make my own to fill the cooler before camping and not waste the 3 bucks.

SteveP - Day 10

The work Explorer opened some boxes again today. No uses for the home Explorer as of when this pic was taken this afternoon, but much later in the evening I used the Phillips on it as an ice pick to break up some old ice cubes. (Usually I use the scaler on my Outdoorsman or Swiss Champ for that. But you use what you have.)
SAKs:
58mm: Bijou (3), Classic SD (7), Mini Champ Plus (mod), Alox Classic SD, Rambler (3), Companion
65mm: Wenger Esquire
74mm: Executive (2)
85mm: Traveler, Delemont S10, Bass
91mm: Champion "c", Swiss Champ (4), Explorer (3), Deluxe Tinker, Huntsman, Serrated Spartan/Weekender, Explorer Plus, Deluxe Explorer Plus (mod), Outdoorsman Plus, Champion "a", Champion Plus, Timekeeper Alarm, Golfer
93mm: Pioneer Alox

Ok, I think I mislabeled my Day 8 pic as Day 9 above, and that has me screwed up.

So, the real Day 9.  Huntsman opening some new 5-packs…
