Just hung around at home today but carried this mystery climber I’m not sure of the age on this one...Five turn corkscrew, clip point small blade, scraper on the cap lifter no half stop, 2nd gen scissor (no cam shaft), no toothpick or tweezer, tang stamp is Victoria but then its awlso stamped Hoffritz. I remember researching this one but then getting stumped I’ll have to look at my notes. It’s a SAKtember mystery!
DAY 27Day 2 of 5 at work so no carry/use Here's a Bantam lounging on the laptop whilst I catch up on some posts
Gotta be round about 1974/5 - I'd say ExplorerAs it's a Hoffrttz - The tool and manufacturing dates may not quite align to usual datesAlso as we often find we have dates that seem to contradict each other - As is the case here.Key dating items for me are double spring scissors >75, Clip-point small blade <73 - So a contradiction - So they could have been using up old parts on the Hoffritzes.Awlso I see no PAT on the can-opener! So post '71Also that mid 70s period was a period of massive change in the Vic tools - So all sorts of date changes and inconsistencies from round about then Have a look here:https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,51872.0.html
Wow comis that's gorgeous! DAY 27Anybody else have a task specific EDC? Mine would be the Electrician. But not for the task one might think. It's my EWC - every walk carry- when I'm walking the doggie and need to get a plastic bag those darn things stick together and I've found the best tools for quickly getting them apart is the awl and\or the electricians blade. It only took a few times of being on the side of the road trying to pry one of those plastic doggy bags apart to realize that next time I would not be without the electrician on any future walks and I've carried it ever since for this specific task. I don’t remember the model name...

Thanks to Lisa has posted the earlier years of Kantonmesser, I have some that are of later years. As a SAK collector, I consider this probably the pinnacle of my SAK collecting hobby. What unique about this series is the details that goes into each SAK, each Canton knife has it's unique laser cut design. Each wood box has different wood grain, and comes with a certificate to identify it's production number. And the back of blade, many share similar design(IIRC).
Wow Comis - You have some of these beauties - Lucky manYes and thanks to Lisa's prompt - and help with some picces - the Wiki page for this series finally got finishedhttps://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Victorinox+Kantonsmesser+Series
